Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boxer Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Johnston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Johnston! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnston instigates a clinch. Johnston tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Boxer takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boxer takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Johnston landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Johnston is staying tight to Boxer's torso, preventing him from escaping. Johnston decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnston throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Boxer's waist but Boxer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnston off to one side. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Johnston is defended easily by Boxer. Boxer tries to clinch up but Johnston circles away and keeps his distance. Johnston has Boxer up against the cage in a clinch.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Johnston keeps control of Boxer as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Johnston fails to land the takedown. Boxer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnston but Johnston pushes him off and we're back to square one. Boxer swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnston. Johnston closes the distance looking to clinch and Boxer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnston's guard. Johnston trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Boxer trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnston is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Boxer stopping the sweep attempt from Johnston. Boxer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnston is on top in guard.

Johnston shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boxer as he jumps to the side. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Boxer. Jimmy Johnston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnston scores with a leg kick.

Jimmy Johnston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Boxer Boxer's cut. That's time! Boxer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Boxer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Johnston walks away with a smile on his face. Boxer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Boxer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boxer Boxer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnston fails with the takedown and Boxer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnston is on top in guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Boxer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnston wants to pass the guard but Boxer is keeping the position. Johnston throws and elbow that misses. Boxer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Johnston's guard. Nice move by Boxer! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnston pulls Boxer in to control the position. Johnston throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Johnston holds on and takes a little breather. Johnston has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Johnston manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boxer manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Johnston stands and throws Boxer's legs to the side, diving into side control. Boxer gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Johnston looking to control and managing it successfully. Boxer is trying desperately to improve position. Johnston content just to control the position here. Johnston looking to ground and pound but Boxer is blocking nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnston punishing his opponent with strikes. Jimmy Johnston has got the better of the ground game so far. Johnston punching from mount but Boxer doing a good job of avoiding damage. Johnston cracks Boxer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Johnston is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Boxer can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Johnston quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Johnston but it's paid off an Boxer is forced to tap! Nice work by Johnston.
