Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Micheal Pemberton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Micheal Pemberton had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Micheal Pemberton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Berg! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pemberton doesn't manage to clinch there - Berg circles away.

Berg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pemberton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pemberton tries for a takedown but Berg sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Pemberton fails with an attempt to clinch.

Pemberton with a poor takedown and Berg counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pemberton! Berg with the ground and pound from mount.
Pemberton is rocked! Berg with shots to the head and body - Pemberton looks very uncomfortable down there. Oh Pemberton is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Berg working for a submission but Pemberton is keeping him at bay. Berg trying to control but Pemberton is having none of it. Berg throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Pemberton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Berg on the ground. Pemberton is squirming around, avoiding Berg's attempts to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Berg throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Berg misses with a head shot. Berg thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Pemberton seems to have got his legs back now. Berg looks gassed! Pemberton is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Berg with good strikes from the mount here! Pemberton working to try and regain half guard.
Berg goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Pemberton turns into him and now he's in Berg's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Berg looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pemberton could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Berg working for a triangle but Pemberton defends it easily.
Berg keeping moving, preventing Pemberton from controlling successfully. Pemberton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Berg throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Berg has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Berg is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pemberton wants to control from the top but Berg keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Berg working for a triangle but Pemberton defends it easily.

Berg wants to sweep but no luck. Berg working for submissions but it's allowed Pemberton to get to half guard.
Berg makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Berg. Berg working for a triangle but Pemberton defends it easily.

Pemberton wants to control from the top but Berg keeps moving. Pemberton working some strikes from top position. Berg is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Pemberton drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pemberton jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Berg bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pemberton's guard. Pemberton looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Berg dominated that round. That's time! Pemberton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Berg. Berg tries for a kimura but Pemberton is defending well. Berg is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pemberton has escaped the position, nice work there. Pemberton is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Berg tries to move into full mount but can't pass Pemberton's legs. Pemberton managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Berg.
Berg is breathing heavily. Berg working away. Pemberton sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Pemberton wants to improve his position but Berg is controlling well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pemberton throws a head kick but Berg moves out of range.
Berg closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Berg lands in his opponent's guard. Berg looking to sit in guard and control but Pemberton gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Berg has a closed guard, preventing Pemberton from standing up. Pemberton lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Pemberton wants to control from the top but Berg keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pemberton slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Berg manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Berg tries to roll over but Pemberton keeps him under control. Pemberton is trying to control the action in half guard but Berg is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Berg is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Pemberton seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Berg is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest. Pemberton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Berg does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Pemberton controlling the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pemberton is trying to control the action in half guard but Berg is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Pemberton frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pemberton trying to control but he's not successful this time. Pemberton punching from mount but Berg doing a good job of avoiding damage. Pemberton looking to control but Berg is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Berg is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pemberton dominating with strikes here. Pemberton unloading with bombs! Pemberton landing punches. Pemberton looking to control but Berg is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Pemberton controlling from mount.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Micheal Pemberton just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Berg blocks a head kick by Pemberton.
Berg walks forward, straight into a front kick from Pemberton. Left hook, right uppercut from Pemberton. The fight stays on the outside here - Pemberton looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Pemberton fails to land the takedown. Pemberton tries a head kick but it misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Micheal Pemberton will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Berg fails with the takedown and Pemberton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Pemberton wants to control from the top but Berg keeps moving. Berg throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Berg tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pemberton stands up from Berg's guard - Pemberton perhaps looking for a knockout. Berg drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Berg is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pemberton has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Berg is working to tighten is grip on Pemberton's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Pemberton has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Berg is really squeezing tight and eventually Pemberton passes out! Berg breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
