Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nic Newcomer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miyamoto Usagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Newcomer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is High by Lil Wayne. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nic Newcomer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miyamoto Usagi!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newcomer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Usagi.
Usagi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Newcomer rushes Usagi and presses him up against the cage.
Usagi tries to pull guard but Newcomer holds him up against the cage and eventually Usagi drops back down to his feet.
Usagi pulls guard successfully.
Usagi looking to control.
Usagi working a defensive guard but Newcomer passes into half guard.
Usagi is trying to control but can't.
Newcomer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Usagi on the ground.
It looks like Newcomer is going to stand back up.
Usagi desperately trying to maintain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Usagi wants to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Usagi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Usagi.
Usagi controlling Newcomer's posture.
Usagi is looking for a triangle but Newcomer pushes his legs off easily.
Usagi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Newcomer wants to stand and escape but instead Usagi has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Usagi looking to pass the guard.
Usagi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Usagi wants to control from the top but Newcomer keeps moving.
Usagi pushes down on Newcomer's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Usagi is looking for a kimura here.
Usagi perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Despite being in the dominant position, Miyamoto Usagi just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Newcomer moves into range and clinches up with Usagi.
Usagi jumps guard but Newcomer stands there with Usagi around his waist. Usagi gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Nic Newcomer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miyamoto Usagi.
Newcomer tries to pull guard but Usagi won't allow it.
Usagi jumps guard and drags Newcomer to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Usagi wants to sweep here but Newcomer controlling him for the moment.
Newcomer would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Usagi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Newcomer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Newcomer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Usagi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Newcomer's guard.
Usagi trying to control the position from guard on top but Newcomer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Usagi wants to pass the guard but Newcomer is keeping the position.
Usagi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Newcomer's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Usagi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Usagi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Newcomer is just riding it out for now. Usagi eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miyamoto Usagi dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Newcomer instigates a clinch.
Usagi pulls guard successfully.
Newcomer preventing the sweep.
Usagi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Newcomer stands and steps away. Usagi gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Usagi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nic Newcomer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Usagi shoots in for a takedown but Newcomer shows good takedown defense.
Newcomer tries a head kick but it misses.
Some wild striking there from Newcomer.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Usagi closes the distance and clinches.
Usagi jumps into guard, dragging Newcomer to the mat.
Usagi looking to control.
Usagi pulls Newcomer in to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Usagi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Newcomer is one step ahead there.
Newcomer trying to stand up but can't free himself from Usagi's guard.
Newcomer has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Usagi to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Newcomer is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Usagi pulls down on the head and he's put Newcomer to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Miyamoto Usagi!
