Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Ly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Ray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Ly! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ly fails to land the takedown. Some wild striking there from Ray.
Ly showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ray.
Ly fails with the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ray misses with a few strikes there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ly shoots in for a double leg but Ray sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jacob Ray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Ly. Ly shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ray defends it nicely. Ray lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ly circles away quickly and effectively. Jacob Ray is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ly throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ray's waist but Ray gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ly off to one side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ly will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ly should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ly shoots in for a double leg but Ray sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ray tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Ly is able to avoid easily. Ray throws a right and a left that Ly avoids nicely. A bone on bone clash there as Ray blocks the leg kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Ray lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ray lands with a hook. Ly tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Ray keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jimmy Ly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ray will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Some wild striking there from Ray.
Ray looks to throw the jab but Ly is out of range. Ly tests Ray's chin there with a solid looking shot. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ly is defended easily by Ray. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ly ducks right into an uppercut from Ray. Ray throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Ray slaps away a takedown attempt from Ly, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ray throws a series of punches but Ly moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ray throws a series of punches but Ly avoids them all with ease. Ray scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Some wild striking there from Ray.

Ray throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Ly missing with a left hand there. Ray was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ray avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ray throws a right hand that Ly ducks under and follows up with a left that Ly also avoids with ease. Ly dodges the punch combination from Ray.

Ly tries for a takedown but Ray sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jacob Ray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Ly. Ly fails with a takedown attempt. Ly shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ray as he avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ray misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ly changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ray tries to avoid it but Ly manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ray to the ground. Ray escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ray avoids a kick to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ly throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ly takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ray throws a combination that misses and Ly counters with a two punch combo. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jacob Ray dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

and Ray counters with a three punch combo that has Ly backing up. Ly nods at Ray to acknowledge the strikes. Ly is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ray sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Ly attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Ly misses with a takedown attempt and Ray counters with a leg kick. Ray throws out a loose jab but Ly uses good head movement to avoid it. Ly looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ray is fending him off so far but Ly persists. Nope, Ray circles away and we're back to standing. Ly closes the distance and clinches up with Ray, looking for a takedown. Ly pushes Ray against the cage but Ray circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ly closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Ly takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Ray tries to roll over but Ly keeps him under control. Ray wants to get back to his feet.
Jimmy Ly has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ray throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Ly is looking for a kimura here.
Ly passes to full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ly moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Ray has worked his arm free - good work by Ray!
Ly advances to full mount. Ray throwing hammer fists to the chest of Ly. What's that going to do exactly? Ray is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Poor strikes thrown by Ly there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
And that's the end of the fight! Jacob Ray showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ray, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
