The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Peterson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lesnar. That did some damage!
Lesnar takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Nice takedown defense from Peterson. No joy for Lesnar on that attempt.
Peterson throws a wild body kick that Lesnar sees coming a mile off.
Lesnar shoots in but Peterson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Peterson throws and low kick but Lesnar moves out of range easily.

Nice takedown defense from Peterson. No joy for Lesnar on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Lesnar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lesnar has a takedown stuffed.
Lesnar is breathing heavily.
Lesnar tries for a takedown but Peterson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Peterson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Peterson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Peterson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Lesnar will feel that in the morning.
Lesnar checks a low kick from Peterson.
Lesnar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Lesnar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Peterson swivels and escapes.
Lesnar fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Peterson throws a chopping leg kick but Lesnar manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Peterson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Peterson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Peterson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Peterson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lesnar keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Peterson wants to free his trapped foot but Lesnar is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Peterson is keen to just control but Lesnar is a slippery customer.
Lesnar won't allow Peterson to pass to mount.
Lesnar is not content to let Peterson control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott Peterson dominated that round.
That's time! Lesnar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lesnar fails with the takedown
and Peterson counters with a head kick.
Peterson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Lesnar will feel that in the morning.

and Peterson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lesnar!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Oh Lesnar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Peterson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Lesnar is looking to improve his position but Peterson isn't that keen on the idea.

Peterson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Peterson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lesnar's face.
A nice elbow there by Peterson.
Lesnar tries to reverse the position but Peterson maintains control.
Lesnar is working hard here to advance position.

Lesnar takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Peterson looking to secure an arm triangle but Lesnar defends it well.
Peterson prevents Lesnar from getting the reversal.

Peterson working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Lesnar turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Peterson off and cradles Lesnar's limp body as Peterson celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Scott Peterson!
