Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Son!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aaron Davis!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis shoots for a double leg takedown but Son sprawls well. He's pushed Davis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Davis has a takedown stuffed.
Son shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Son punching from mount but Davis doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Davis wants to control but Son is having none of it.
Son jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Davis manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Son stands up and beckons Davis to his feet.
Son shoots in but no luck this time.
Davis fails with the takedown
and Son counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Davis's guard now.
Joe Son has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Davis.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Son drops back looking for a leg! Davis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Davis manages to kick Son off! Son jumps back into Davis's guard.
Davis looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Son pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Davis is keeping the position for now.
Son is breathing heavily.
Davis wants to stand but Son is controlling the position.
Davis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Son. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Son is looking to work some ground and pound but Davis has wrist control.
Son loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Davis pushes Son off and scrambles back to his feet.
Son tries a low kick but Davis avoids it.
Davis fails with the takedown
so Son counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Son slips nicely into half guard.
Son prevents Davis from standing back up.
Son is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Son seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Davis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Son is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Davis is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
