Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darren Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darren Burns has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darren Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jordan Clark!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns tries to score a power double leg takedown but Clark sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Burns somewhat.
Burns just misses with a punch to the body.
Clark throws a series of punches but Burns moves out of range.
Clark waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Burns.
Burns blocks a jab.
Clark misses with a looping left.
Burns shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Clark sprawls well. Clark wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Burns gets slowly back to his feet.
Clark moves into range and connects with a jab.
A punch combination from Clark misses.
Burns slips a jab and a cross from Clark.
Burns takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Burns throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Clark's waist but Clark gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Burns off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darren Burns. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Burns fails in his attempt to clinch.
Clark lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burns circles away quickly and effectively.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Burns moves into the clinch.
Clark wants to break the clinch but can't.
Clark tries to circle away but Burns has him pinned against the cage.
Burns has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Clark is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Burns lands a knee to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Clark's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Burns lands a takedown into guard.
Clark wants to stand but Burns is controlling the position.
Clark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burns. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Burns wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving.
Clark is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Burns accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Clark avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Burns wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving.
Burns advances position into side control!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clark is trying to get back to half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Burns clinches up with Clark and pushes him back against the cage.

Burns pulls guard successfully.
Clark won't allow Burns to sweep him here.

Burns working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clark doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Clark manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Burns looking for a sweep. Not yet Burns, not yet.

Clark got a little sloppy there for a moment and Burns has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Clark has managed to get both his arms back between Burns's legs - danger averted.
Clark controls from within his opponent's guard.

Burns has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Clark can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Burns is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Burns is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Clark has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Burns is proving hard to escape from.
Clark must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Burns trying to keep a closed guard but Clark is proving a slippery customer.

Burns is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Clark rolls with it to try and escape but Burns cranks on the arm and Clark is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
