Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Franek Kimono! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kira Yamato! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamato clobbers Kimono with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Kimono slips a jab from Yamato. Kimono slips a jab and a cross from Yamato.
Yamato throws a hook to the side of Kimono's head but Kimono sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Yamato waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Kimono. Yamato catches Kimono right on the button with a cross. Yamato loads up on a big right hand but Kimono slips the punch. Yamato tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kira Yamato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kimono. Yamato misses with a looping left. Yamato closes the distance and pushes Kimono back into the ropes. Yamato tries to circle away but Kimono has him pinned against the ropes. Yamato throws a lazy right hand but Kimono sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kira Yamato is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kimono uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Yamato. Yamato swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Kimono takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Yamato throws an overhand right that lands on Kimono's shoulder, as Kimono tries to avoid the shot. Kimono shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Yamato is trying to defend but Kimono finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kimono trying to control from half guard but Yamato is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kimono missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Yamato is trying to stand up here but Kimono is controlling him well. Kimono is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kimono is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yamato is just riding it out for now. Kimono eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Yamato has taken the fight to the clinch.

Yamato jabbing away but nothing is landing. Yamato tries to clinch but Kimono is having none of it. Kira Yamato seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kimono tries for a takedown but Yamato sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Yamato wants to clinch. Yamato lands a lovely overhand right.

Yamato lands with a nice combination. Kimono backs away looking to recover. Yamato tries to clinch but Kimono is having none of it. Yamato throws a hook but Kimono blocks it. Yamato is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kimono. A jab from Yamato does it's job there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice uppercut there from Yamato. Yamato looks to land a right hand but Kimono moved out of range. Yamato lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Yamato connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kimono momentarily.

Yamato misses with a straight right. Yamato might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Kimono takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Yamato instigates a clinch. Kimono tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Yamato breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Yamato pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kimono defending well as Yamato loads up on a big left hand. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Yamato misses with a two punch combination.
