Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Rudd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Leigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rudd comes to the cage accompanied by Bob Marley - Get Up Stand Up. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Rudd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bryan Leigh! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leigh is looking to clinch but Rudd is avoiding it.
Leigh keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Leigh closes the distance and clinches. Rudd is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Rudd tries to pull guard but Leigh won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Rudd. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rudd wants to get back to striking at distance but Leigh won't allow it.
Rudd pulls guard effortlessly. Leigh looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Leigh wants to stand but Rudd is controlling his posture from full guard. Rudd looking for a sweep. Not yet Rudd, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rudd has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Leigh can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rudd had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Leigh is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rudd Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Leigh's back instead. Leigh fending off the submission attempt from Rudd. Rudd is looking to control Leigh but Leigh is wriggling around and keeping busy. Leigh surviving as best he can, preventing damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Leigh rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Rudd is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Rudd is working for a submission of some sort.
Rudd prevents Leigh from improving his position. Leigh pushes Rudd off and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leigh has closed the distance and engaged Rudd in a clinch.
Rudd tries to pull guard but Leigh holds him up against the cage and eventually Rudd drops back down to his feet.
Rudd avoiding damage as Leigh throws knees to the body.
Rudd pulls guard effortlessly. Rudd is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Leigh defends well. Leigh stands up from guard. Let's bang! Leigh moves in looking to clinch but Rudd pushes him off. Bryan Leigh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Leigh wants to clinch up but Rudd keeps it at a distance. Leigh tries a head kick but it misses.
Rudd shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Leigh as he avoids it easily. No luck for Rudd with that takedown attempt. Leigh fails with an attempt to clinch.
Leigh throws a front kick that sends Rudd stumbling back into the cage. Rudd is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leigh swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Leigh throws a head kick that half lands.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Leigh closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Rudd tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Leigh smiles and moves away.
Leigh scores with a push kick. Leigh wants to clinch. Leigh closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Leigh connects with a knee to the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rudd drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Leigh gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Leigh with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Leigh comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Leigh content to slow the pace in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bryan Leigh dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Leigh tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Leigh closes the distance and pushes Rudd back into the cage. Rudd misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Rudd tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Rudd. That's going to take a lot out of him. Leigh breaks the clinch.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Leigh! Rudd is out on his feet! Leigh rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Rudd is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Rudd is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bryan Leigh!
