Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Danny Toddler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gray Grantham!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toddler will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Grantham lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Grantham bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Grantham wants to clinch up but Toddler keeps it at a distance.
Grantham closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Come on Toddler - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Grantham with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Grantham throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Toddler blocks it with crossed arms.
Grantham keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Toddler's efforts to push away.
Grantham using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Toddler has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Grantham slows down the pace here.
Toddler jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Toddler has a closed guard, preventing Grantham from standing up.
Toddler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Toddler trying to keep a closed guard but Grantham is proving a slippery customer.
Toddler is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Toddler is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Toddler has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grantham can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Toddler looking for a guillotine here but Grantham defends easily.
Grantham is looking to stand up but Toddler won't let him.

Toddler tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Toddler trying to keep a closed guard but Grantham is proving a slippery customer.
Grantham has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Toddler to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Grantham is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Toddler pulls down on the head and he's put Grantham to sleep! This one is all over!
