Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Mylly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kicker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matt Mylly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Kicker!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kicker looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Mylly is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kicker looks for a takedown but Mylly sprawls well.

Kicker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mylly. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kicker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mylly gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Mylly decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kicker's guard.
Matt Mylly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Kicker.
Mylly postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mylly lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Mylly wants to control from the top but Kicker keeps moving.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kicker can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mylly wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kicker, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mylly tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mylly has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mylly ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Matt Mylly overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Mylly wants to take a breather but Kicker manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Mylly.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Kicker is in a horrible position here. Mylly smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

John Kicker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mylly wants to control the pace but Kicker is squirming around nicely.
Kicker is bucking up trying to escape but Mylly cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Mylly prevents Kicker from getting the reversal.

Kicker sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Mylly perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Mylly is thwarting Kicker's attempts to control the position.
Mylly is nestled in close to Kicker, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Kicker is trying to maintain the position but Mylly is very close to passing his half guard.
Mylly is looking to take a break and control but Kicker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mylly wants to pass the guard but Kicker is keeping the position.

Mylly has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
