Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between SaioG Snake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romo da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). da Silva has chosen Aijeke by Wyrd as his entrance music. SaioG Snake has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, SaioG Snake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Romo da Silva! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from da Silva.
Snake shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. da Silva defends it nicely. da Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Snake. Snake gets slowly back to his feet. da Silva's corner calls for a 1-2. da Silva obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Snake fails with an attempt to clinch.
da Silva clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. da Silva is trying to trip Snake. He has hold of a leg but Snake is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. da Silva persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Snake can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as da Silva controls the pace. da Silva wants to pass the guard but Snake is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. da Silva wants to control from the top but Snake keeps moving. da Silva not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. da Silva is looking to stand up but Snake won't let him. Snake being controlled here, momentarily. da Silva throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Snake works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Snake wants to stand up but da Silva is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Snake looking for submissions from the bottom but instead da Silva passes into half guard.
Snake is breathing heavily. Snake looking for submissions from an awkward position here. da Silva slows the pace down in half guard.
Despite being in the dominant position, Romo da Silva just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. da Silva clinches up with Snake and pushes him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snake is trying to break free. da Silva is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Snake can't fight it off and eventually da Silva manages to take the fight to the floor. Snake looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. da Silva's corner is telling him to maintain position. I looks like da Silva might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Snake will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. da Silva trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. da Silva sitting in guard here, content to control. da Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Snake is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snake can't keep his opponent in guard - da Silva advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. da Silva seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. da Silva moves nicely into side control. da Silva just content to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Romo da Silva dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Snake circles away from the clinch attempt and Snake counters with a lovely straight right hand! da Silva closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. da Silva breaks from the clinch.
da Silva wants to clinch up but Snake keeps it at a distance. da Silva throws a right hand that Snake ducks under and follows up with a left that Snake also avoids with ease. da Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snake darts in trying to clinch and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Snake misses the jab. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Snake misses with a takedown attempt and da Silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Snake's guard now. da Silva trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. da Silva seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. da Silva looking to pass the guard. da Silva sitting in guard, not really doing much. da Silva trying to control but Snake is working from the bottom. da Silva is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. da Silva has clasped his hands together around Snake's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. da Silva advances to mount. da Silva in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

da Silva lands a big elbow. da Silva tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Romo da Silva has got the better of the ground game so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! da Silva's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Despite being in the dominant position, Romo da Silva just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. da Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.
Snake with a poor takedown and da Silva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. da Silva passes easily into side control. Nice work. da Silva controls the position. da Silva looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. You can see the frustration on Snake's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. da Silva tries to move into full mount but can't pass Snake's legs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Romo da Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
da Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Snake swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Snake with a poor takedown and da Silva counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by da Silva. da Silva has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Snake regains guard immediately. da Silva prevents Snake from getting back to his feet. da Silva is stalling in the full guard. da Silva passes Snake's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Ground and pound from da Silva. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Snake looks like he's trying to stand up.
da Silva is taking a breather. Snake says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snake actively working from the bottom here. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Snake is trying to get back to full guard. da Silva scoring with strikes to the body and head. da Silva trying to control the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. da Silva frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. da Silva controlling from mount.

SaioG Snake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. da Silva moves into range and clinches up with Snake. da Silva is working for takedown but Snake is calmly controlling the position for now. Snake has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. da Silva has Snake pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Snake manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. da Silva tightens his grip and picks Snake up, before dumping him to the ground. Snake manages to land in guard. da Silva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Snake, up you get! SaioG Snake is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Snake tries to keep at a distance but da Silva has taken the fight into the clinch. da Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Snake swats away the attempt to clinch by da Silva. da Silva has been the more effective fighter overall so far. da Silva tries to clinch there but Snake circles away.
Romo da Silva is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snake has his takedown stuffed and da Silva holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. da Silva successfully pulls guard.
Snake stopping the sweep attempt from da Silva. da Silva has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
And that's the end of the fight! Romo da Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well da Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
