Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from da Silva.
Snake shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. da Silva defends it nicely.
da Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Snake. Snake gets slowly back to his feet.
da Silva's corner calls for a 1-2. da Silva obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Snake fails with an attempt to clinch.
da Silva clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
da Silva is trying to trip Snake. He has hold of a leg but Snake is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. da Silva persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Snake can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as da Silva controls the pace.
da Silva wants to pass the guard but Snake is keeping the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

I looks like da Silva might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Snake will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and da Silva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
da Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Snake swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Snake tries to keep at a distance but da Silva has taken the fight into the clinch.

Romo da Silva is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

and da Silva holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Well da Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
