Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kai Ace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Baum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Baum is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kai Ace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Baum! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ace shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Baum defends it nicely. Ace is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ace. Ace fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kai Ace. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ace throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Baum's waist but Baum gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ace off to one side. Baum blocks the body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Horrible takedown by Ace or perhaps it was just good defense by Baum which made him look bad. Baum keeps the fight on the outside. Baum lands a jab to the nose.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ace gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Baum. Baum slaps away a takedown attempt from Ace, before circling back to the center of the mat. Baum slips a jab and a cross from Ace.
Ace tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Baum paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ace wants to clinch up but Baum keeps it at a distance. Baum blocks a head kick by Ace.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Baum is trying to break the clinch but Ace has him pressed against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Baum as Ace tries to tie him up. Ace jumps guard but Baum stands there with Ace around his waist. Ace gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baum manages to break the clinch.
Ace shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Baum preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Baum is trying to control but can't.
Ace wants to stand but Baum has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ace has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Baum works to full guard. Baum is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Baum keeping moving, preventing Ace from controlling successfully.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Baum takes the fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ace drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Baum gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Baum escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Baum closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ace is looking to reverse the position. Baum is looking to take a break and control but Ace is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ace is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Baum is one step ahead and moves to full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ace throws a right and a left that Baum avoids nicely. Ace pivots, looking for a leg kick but Baum is out of range and Ace settles back down. Ace has his takedown stuffed and Baum counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ace won't be happy with that. Ace is looking to regain half guard here but Baum keeps moving and retains side control. Baum working away. Baum wants to control but Ace is keeping him busy. Ace wants to get back to his feet but Baum drags him back down. Ace tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Baum wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ace wants to control but Baum postures up. Baum trying to control the position but Ace is working away. Baum lands a few punches from side control. Ace throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Baum happy to just control the position for now. Ace tries to buck Baum off but Baum is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ace manages to get back to half guard. Ace wants to control but Baum is keeping busy and won't allow it. Baum moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Ace. Baum wants to control but Ace is keeping him busy. Ace is trying to work for a sweep but Baum has mounted him! Ace tries to reverse the position but Baum maintains control. Baum controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ace is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ace wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Baum sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Ace is working to get back to half guard.

Adam Baum showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Baum is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ace Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Baum's back instead. Baum trying to control the hands but Ace won't let him. Baum tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Baum wants to control but Ace is having none of it. Ace trying to control but Baum is having none of it. Baum wants to try and get back to his feet. Baum is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Baum trying desperately to get to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ace prevents Baum from getting the reversal. Baum swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Baum is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ace jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Baum is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Baum and Ace has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Baum is trying to control Ace's posture but Ace avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ace goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Baum rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ace's guard! Nice work there by Baum! Ace wants to stand and escape but Baum is having none of it. Ace wants to improve his position but instead Baum has moved into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Baum perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
And that's the end of the fight! Adam Baum comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Baum has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
