Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ross Winner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pepper Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Winner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Pepper Edgar! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edgar is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Winner's half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Edgar lands a nice short elbow. Winner tries to kick Edgar off in order to stand up. Edgar Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Edgar stands up and we're back to a striking position. Winner misses with the combination.
Edgar looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Winner is fending him off so far but Edgar persists. Nope, Winner circles away and we're back to standing. Winner has closed the distance and engaged Edgar in a clinch.
Winner is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Edgar has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Winner is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Edgar drops down looking for an ankle pick but Winner pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ross Winner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pepper Edgar. Nice sprawl there from Winner as Edgar shoots in. Winner has managed to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Edgar's face as he tries to break the clinch. Edgar drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Winner could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Winner swings wildly with an uppercut but Edgar uses good head movement to avoid it. A knee to the head by Winner.
Winner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Winner checks a low kick from Edgar. Edgar misses with the combination.
Winner tries to clinch but Edgar is having none of it. Edgar misses with a wild body shot. Winner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Winner gets a clinch. Edgar tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Winner smiles and moves away.
Edgar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Winner sprawls well. Winner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Edgar gets slowly back to his feet. Edgar looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Winner uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Edgar. The fight moves into the clinch position. A battle for position here, against the cage. Winner lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Edgar. Edgar is looking to break free of the clinch but Winner has double underhooks. Edgar jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Winner walks away with a smile on his face. Edgar gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Edgar takes the fight into the clinch. Winner scores with a nice hook to the head. Winner works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Edgar wants to improve his position but instead Winner has moved into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Winner connects with a nice short shot to Edgar's temple.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Winner stands up out of the half guard. Winner clinches up against the cage. Winner lands a nice shot to the body. Winner lands with a light punch inside. Winner tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Edgar tries to land knees in the clinch but Winner avoids the damage to the body. Winner manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Winner has Edgar pulled in close to control his posture. Edgar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Winner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Edgar has managed to get both his arms back between Winner's legs - danger averted. Edgar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Winner has a closed guard, preventing Edgar from standing up. Edgar has gone for a leg lock! Winner slips out almost immediately though and dives into Edgar's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Edgar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Winner gets to his feet - Edgar follows without any prompting. Ross Winner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Edgar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Edgar is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Nice sprawl there from Winner as Edgar shoots in. Winner rushes Edgar and presses him up against the cage. Edgar jumps guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Edgar looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Winner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Edgar on the ground. Winner working some strikes from top position. Winner stands up from guard. Let's bang! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Winner tries to clinch but Edgar is having none of it. Winner takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Edgar lands a nice shot to the body.
Edgar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Winner but Winner pushes him off and we're back to square one. Edgar shoots for a takedown but Winner saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Edgar fails with a takedown attempt. Ross Winner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Winner darts in trying to clinch and Edgar counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Edgar. Winner keeping moving, preventing Edgar from controlling successfully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Edgar shoots in and drives through. Winner sprawls well. Edgar fails to land the takedown. Winner closes the distance but Edgar moves to the side and Edgar counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Edgar. Edgar postures up.
Edgar drops back, looking for a kneebar! Winner looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Winner looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Winner! Winner decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Edgar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Winner is trying to defend but Edgar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Edgar slips a nice elbow through Winner's hands, connecting with Winner's forehead. Edgar is working for a submission of some sort.

Winner wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Winner is not content to let Edgar control the position. Edgar is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Winner defends it well. Winner blocking the ground and pound attempt from Edgar. Winner is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Edgar pulls his head out easily. Edgar is looking to take a break and control but Winner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Edgar shoots in for a takedown but Winner shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Winner fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Edgar, pushing him back against the cage. Edgar has Winner pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Winner manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Edgar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Winner throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Winner throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Edgar sees it coming and avoids it easily. Edgar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Winner as he avoids it easily. Winner throws a head kick but Edgar moves out of range.
Edgar connects with a right hand. Winner shakes it off. Winner has closed the distance and engaged Edgar in a clinch.
Edgar has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Winner avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Winner unloads a knee to the mid-section. Edgar lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Winner misses with an elbow over the top. Edgar fails to pull guard.

Pepper Edgar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Winner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Edgar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Winner swivels and escapes. Winner gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Winner looking to control.
Edgar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Winner swivels though and keeps the full guard. Edgar wants to stand but Winner has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Edgar postures up in Winner's guard and throws a big left but Winner blocks it. Edgar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Winner works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Edgar won't allow Winner to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Edgar trying to control the position from guard on top but Winner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Winner has closed the distance and engaged Edgar in a clinch.
Winner swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Winner tries to stall but Edgar uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

The ref calls for Winner to stand up. Edgar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Winner napping and manages to drive through into side control! Winner wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Edgar is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Winner will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edgar is looking to take a break and control but Winner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Winner is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Edgar swings around for an armbar but Winner sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Edgar's guard. Winner sitting in guard here, content to control. Winner is looking to advance position but Edgar has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Edgar looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Winner defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Edgar. Edgar takes Winner's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Winner is in trouble. Winner defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard. Edgar had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Winner is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Edgar Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Winner's back instead. Edgar avoiding Winner 's attempts to control his hands.
And that's the end of the fight! Pepper Edgar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Edgar has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
