Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Top Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noob Crusher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crusher has chosen Bodies as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dog shoots for a takedown but Crusher saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A slapping leg kick lands for Dog.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dog is defended easily by Crusher. Nice takedown defense from Crusher. No joy for Dog on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Top Dog. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fight stays on the outside here - Crusher looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Crusher throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Crusher lands a nice hook to Dog's body. Dog takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Crusher tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dog swats him away and circles back towards the center. Crusher tries a head kick but it misses.

Dog keeps the fight on the outside. Crusher misses with a body kick. Dog fails to land with a series of punches.
Dog takes the fight into the clinch. Dog fails to pull guard.
Dog on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Dog blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Dog just misses with a elbow thrown towards Crusher's brow. Dog tries to pull guard but Crusher holds him up against the cage and eventually Dog drops back down to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dog avoiding damage as Crusher throws knees to the body.
Crusher is struggling to control the position. Crusher's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dog fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Crusher, pushing him back against the cage. Crusher missing with knees to the body.
Crusher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Crusher gets in close and instigates a clinch. Crusher using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Crusher tries to land a knee to the head but Dog blocks with his arms.

Dog manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Crusher wants to get up but he can't break Dog's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Crusher decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dog, up you get! Dog shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Crusher is trying to defend but Dog finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Dog is breathing heavily. Crusher is refusing to be controlled, as Dog sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dog working Crusher over with strikes. Crusher has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dog is working away from the top position though. Dog is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Crusher defends it well. Crusher is staying active underneath Dog, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Crusher looks like he's trying to stand up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Crusher scores with a nice right hand.
It looks like Top Dog has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. An inside leg kick lands from Crusher. Crusher throws the kick towards the body but Dog avoids it. Crusher tries a head kick but it misses.
Dog takes a kick to the side of the head. Dog attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Dog dives in and grabs Crusher's left leg, looking for a takedown. Crusher pushes down on Dog's head and hops out. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Crusher!
Dog is rocked! Crusher rushes Dog and presses him up against the cage. Oh Dog is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Crusher landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Crusher putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Dog in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Crusher lands a knee to the head.
