Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keneth Kobayashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Forte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keneth Kobayashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kobayashi tries to clinch there but Forte circles away.
Kobayashi could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Forte circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kobayashi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Forte but Forte pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kobayashi moves in looking to clinch but Forte pushes him off.
Kobayashi doesn't manage to clinch there - Forte circles away.

Kobayashi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Forte is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kobayashi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kobayashi's back!

Forte is riding his opponent, not letting Kobayashi buck him off.
Kobayashi staying busy and making it hard for Forte to control.
Kobayashi trying to control the hands but Forte won't let him.
Forte keeps control of the position as Kobayashi tries to break free.

Kobayashi just trying to survive but Forte is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Kobayashi covers up after that shot from Forte.
Kobayashi trying to control the action but Forte just sinks the hooks in.
Forte tries to get the hooks in deep but Kobayashi pushed the leg off.
Kobayashi turns into Forte and is now in his guard.
Forte looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kobayashi is one step ahead there.
Kobayashi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Forte swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Forte is looking for a triangle but Kobayashi pushes his legs off easily.

Kobayashi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kobayashi advances position into side control!
Forte wants to control but Kobayashi postures up.

Kobayashi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Forte, who protects the arm well.
Kobayashi is breathing heavily.
Forte manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Kobayashi wants to control but Forte is keeping busy.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Forte is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Forte blocks Kobayashi's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Forte trying to control but Kobayashi is having none of it.

Forte sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Kobayashi is wriggling around trying to escape.

Forte is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Forte keeps the fight on the outside.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Forte shoots in but no luck this time.
Kobayashi moves in looking to clinch but Forte pushes him off.
Forte shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kobayashi but Kobayashi pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Forte counters with a big head kick but Kobayashi shrugs it off.

Kobayashi lands an elbow inside.
Forte tries for a takedown but Kobayashi manages to get underhooks.
Keneth Kobayashi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Forte.
Kobayashi lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Forte changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kobayashi fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Forte counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Forte advances position into side control!
Forte trying to control the action but Kobayashi is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sean Forte dominated that round.
That's time! Kobayashi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Kobayashi closes the distance but Forte moves to the side
and Forte counters with a nice body kick.

Forte moves into range and clinches up with Kobayashi.
Kobayashi tries to land a knee to the head but Forte blocks with his arms.
Kobayashi misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Forte.

Kobayashi misses with a knee strike.
Kobayashi using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Forte has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Kobayashi tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Forte wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kobayashi tries to land knees in the clinch but Forte avoids the damage to the body.

Forte stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Kobayashi throws a punch but it's blocked by Forte.
Kobayashi lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Forte tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Kobayashi swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Forte tries for a takedown but Kobayashi manages to get underhooks.
Forte takes an elbow to the forehead.

Forte gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kobayashi regains guard.

Kobayashi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Forte passes Kobayashi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Kobayashi is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Forte pulls his head out easily.
Forte thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kobayashi's head.
Kobayashi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kobayashi.
Kobayashi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Forte!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kobayashi cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Forte in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Kobayashi moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Forte has worked his arm free - good work by Forte!
Kobayashi is trying to move to mount but Forte reverses beautifully and ends up in Kobayashi's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Forte trying to control but Kobayashi is working from the bottom.

Kobayashi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Forte doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Kobayashi is tightening it up a little... Forte has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Forte reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Forte taps out! nice BJJ there by Kobayashi!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Keneth Kobayashi!
