Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hesha Ruhadze! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Hugo Spratt! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spratt slips a jab from Ruhadze. Ruhadze takes one to the side of the head.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ruhadze, right into the meat.
Horrible takedown by Ruhadze or perhaps it was just good defense by Spratt which made him look bad. Spratt swinging wilding here.
Spratt stuffs the takedown attempt from Ruhadze. Ruhadze gets slowly back to his feet. Spratt connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Spratt misses with the combination.
A punch combination from Spratt misses. Ruhadze scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Spratt is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Ruhadze decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruhadze throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Spratt was covering up waiting for the punch and Ruhadze finishes the takedown easily into guard. Ruhadze trying to control but Spratt is working from the bottom. Ruhadze wants to get up but he can't break Spratt's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Ruhadze is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spratt wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ruhadze avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Spratt punching from the bottom. Spratt trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Spratt fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ruhadze, pushing him back against the cage. Spratt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Spratt throws a leg kick that is checked and Ruhadze counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Spratt is refusing to be controlled, as Ruhadze sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spratt wants to get back to his feet. Ruhadze seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Spratt is staying active underneath Ruhadze, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Spratt with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Spratt. Ruhadze shrugs it off though. Ruhadze looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Spratt doesn't manage to clinch there - Ruhadze circles away.
Spratt pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. A right-left combo lands from Spratt. Spratt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ruhadze moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Spratt misses with the body kick and Ruhadze counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ruhadze. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spratt wants to sweep here but Ruhadze controlling him for the moment. Ruhadze trying to control the position from guard on top but Spratt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ruhadze avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hesha Ruhadze dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nice takedown defense from Spratt. No joy for Ruhadze on that attempt. Ruhadze tries to clinch but Spratt moves out of range. Spratt moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Spratt finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Ruhadze is trying hard to land a takedown here. Spratt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Spratt connects with a single shot there.
Ruhadze is rocked! Spratt clinches up against the cage. Spratt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ruhadze takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Spratt throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Oh Ruhadze is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. It's a brutal combination of punches from Spratt! Ruhadze is backing up but he can't get away as Spratt lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Ruhadze and ends the fight. Great knockout.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Pedro Hugo Spratt!
