Podranoski is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kreator - Hordes Of Chaos. Ivan Podranoski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Podranoski swats away the attempt to clinch by Valentine.
Valentine is looking to clinch.

Valentine shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Podranoski but Podranoski pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Podranoski shoots in for a takedown but Valentine shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Podranoski is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Valentine can't fight it off and eventually Podranoski manages to take the fight to the floor. Valentine looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Podranoski drops back, looking for a kneebar! Valentine looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Valentine looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Valentine!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Podranoski had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Valentine is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Podranoski Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Valentine's back instead.
