Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Sousa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Sousa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Kerr! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerr fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Sousa is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kerr's half guard. Kerr throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Sousa manages to pass to side control. Sousa decides to stand back up. Sousa steps back and let's Kerr get back to his feet. Kerr looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kerr wants to pass to mount but Sousa is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sousa avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kerr. Kerr missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kerr not landing any meaningful shots this time. Kerr prevents Sousa from standing back up.
Sousa has a hand on Kerr's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kerr takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Kerr working away from the top, dropping strikes.
It looks like Rafael Sousa has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sousa sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Kerr has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Sousa defend it? Kerr steps over the head and cranks it - Sousa is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kerr!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mike Kerr!
