Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Constantine Barca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Astro Boy!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy fails in his attempt to clinch.
Barca scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Barca in particular looking to stall.
Barca seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Boy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Boy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Boy trying to hold on to Barca's head to control him but Barca postures up.
Barca wants to pass the guard but Boy is defending well.
Barca seems to be working for a kimura but Boy defends the submission attempt.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Barca shoots in and bounces Boy off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

Boy looking for a sweep. Not yet Boy, not yet.
Barca trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Barca controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Barca slips nicely into half guard.
Barca is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Barca thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Boy bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Barca wants to sweep here but Boy controlling him for the moment.
Barca is pulling down on Boy's head. It's preventing any offense from Boy, at least for the moment.
Barca manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Barca takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Boy tries to improve his position but Barca has taken his back! Barca has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Boy tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Barca pushes Boy away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
