Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Willian Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Cesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Julio Cesar will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Willian Oliveira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Julio Cesar! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oliveira shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cesar as he jumps to the side. Cesar closes the distance and pushes Oliveira back into the cage. Cesar looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Cesar throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Oliveira blocks it with crossed arms. Oliveira has Cesar pressed against the cage, preventing Cesar from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Cesar lands an elbow just above Oliveira 's eye. Cesar gets underhooks to prevent Oliveira's takedown attempt.
Cesar breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cesar tries for a takedown but Oliveira circles away easily and Oliveira counters by moving into the clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Cesar prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willian Oliveira. That's going to take a lot out of him. Oliveira gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Cesar is wriggling around but Oliveira manages to pass to half guard.

Oliveira seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cesar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Oliveira thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cesar's head. Oliveira is looking to advance position but Cesar won't allow it. Oliveira missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Cesar looks to clinch and Oliveira counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cesar! Cesar wants to hold on but Oliveira pushes him away. Oliveira connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Oliveira goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Cesar is on top in guard.
Oliveira tries to land a sweep but no joy. Oliveira is breathing heavily. Oliveira throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Cesar wants to get up but he can't break Oliveira's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Oliveira has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cesar wants to stand but Oliveira has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Oliveira throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Oliveira is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Oliveira manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Oliveira throws some wild stikes that Cesar manages to avoid easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cesar is looking to improve his position but Oliveira isn't that keen on the idea. Oliveira scoring with strikes but Cesar is staying in there. Oliveira unloads with some shots from mount but Cesar bucks and avoids them well.
Oliveira sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Oliveira swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Cesar is now in Oliveira's guard. A big mistake from Oliveira there, giving up the dominant position! Oliveira not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Cesar shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Oliveira circles away from the clinch attempt and Oliveira counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Cesar blocking the ground and pound attempt from Oliveira. Oliveira is keen to just control but Cesar is a slippery customer. Oliveira thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cesar's head. Cesar trying to hold on to Oliveira's head to control him but Oliveira postures up.
Cesar keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Oliveira not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Oliveira has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Oliveira escapes and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cesar stuffs the takedown. Cesar misses with a takedown and Oliveira moves into the clinch. Cesar scores with a knee to the head.
Cesar tries to score a body lock takedown but Oliveira shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Willian Oliveira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julio Cesar. Oliveira stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Cesar wants to clinch and Oliveira moves into the clinch. Oliveira has Cesar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cesar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Cesar tries to break the clinch but Oliveira is controlling the position. Cesar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cesar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Oliveira paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cesar wants to clinch but Oliveira slips to the side and Oliveira counters with a nice double leg into guard. Oliveira won't allow Cesar to get back to his feet. Oliveira throws a big right hand that misses. Oliveira throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Oliveira throwing strikes but missing. Oliveira throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cesar works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Oliveira accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Oliveira wanted to stand there but Cesar had control of the position. Oliveira prevents Cesar from getting back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cesar closes the distance and pushes Oliveira back into the cage. Oliveira is trying to break the clinch but Cesar is controlling him. Cesar tries to pull guard but Oliveira won't allow it.

Cesar forces Oliveira back against the cage and clinches. Cesar keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Oliveira's efforts to push away.

Oliveira wants to pass the guard but Cesar is keeping the position. Cesar keeping moving, preventing Oliveira from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oliveira swats away the attempt to clinch by Cesar. Cesar closes the distance looking to clinch and Oliveira counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cesar won't be happy with that. Oliveira wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cesar, who protects the arm well. Oliveira throwing shots but missing, from side control. Oliveira prevents Cesar from escaping the position. Oliveira trying to control the position but Cesar is working away. Cesar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oliveira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cesar is looking to regain half guard here but Oliveira keeps moving and retains side control. Cesar wants to control but Oliveira postures up. Cesar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Oliveira wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Willian Oliveira overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Oliveira clinches with his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cesar wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Oliveira has him pressed against the cage. Oliveira has Cesar pressed against the cage, preventing Cesar from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Cesar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Cesar clinches but Oliveira breaks the clinch and Oliveira counters with a takedown into side control. Cesar is being controlled here. Oliveira tries for a kimura but Cesar is defending well. And that's the end of the fight! Willian Oliveira showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Oliveira, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
