The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wilson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wilson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Wilson is looking to stand up but Carwin won't let him.
Wilson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carwin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Carwin is on top in guard.
Carwin prevents Wilson from getting back to his feet.

Wilson kicks Carwin off and gets to his feet.
Wilson throws a series of punches but Carwin moves out of range.
Thomas Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Wilson wants to clinch up but Carwin keeps it at a distance.
Carwin is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Wilson.
Wilson tries to close the distance and clinch but Carwin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wilson throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Carwin tries to pull guard but Wilson won't allow it.
Carwin is breathing heavily.
Wilson prevents the takedown attempt.
Wilson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Carwin tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wilson smiles and moves away.

Wilson tries to stand and escape but Carwin is controlling the position.

Wilson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Carwin did well to prevent Wilson getting side control.
Carwin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Wilson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Wilson gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Carwin has his takedown stuffed
and Wilson counters with a nice uppercut.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wilson lands with a nice combination. Carwin backs away looking to recover.

Wilson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Wilson shoots in and bounces Carwin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Carwin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Carwin breaks from Wilson's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Carwin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Wilson is surviving well by controlling Carwin's body position as best he can.

Wilson is in a horrible position here. Carwin smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Wilson is desperately trying to improve his position but Carwin has a good base and remains in mount.

I would just about give that final round to Thomas Wilson.
Well Wilson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
