Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Lil Sauce Money! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark MacLeod! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Money throws a head kick that misses. MacLeod lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
MacLeod blocks a head kick by Money.
MacLeod is looking to chop away at Money's legs. MacLeod rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Money moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A solid leg kick lands there for Money.
MacLeod throws a head kick that misses and Money counters with a nice body kick.
Money gets in close and instigates a clinch. MacLeod tries to circle away but Money has him pinned against the cage. Money landing knees to the head.
It looks like Mark MacLeod has been cut. A frustrated look appears on MacLeod's face as he tries to break the clinch. Money drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Money pulls guard successfully.
MacLeod is looking to work some ground and pound but Money has wrist control. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Money is on top in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Money prevents MacLeod from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Money forces his way into half guard. Money tries to pass the half guard into mount. MacLeod knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Money is trying to control. MacLeod wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. MacLeod pushes Money off looking to stand but Money dives back in and keeps control.
MacLeod is staying active underneath Money, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. MacLeod throws a nice looking combination but Money bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. MacLeod swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
MacLeod looks to land a body kick but Money moved away. MacLeod looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. MacLeod looks to land a combination but Money avoids it well. Money instigates a clinch. MacLeod has had enough of the clinch but Money keeps him there for the moment. Money manages to pull guard.
MacLeod wanted to stand there but Money had control of the position. MacLeod won't allow Money to sweep him here. Money pulls MacLeod in close to his closed guard and prevents MacLeod from doing any damage or advancing position. Money is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. MacLeod is aware though and is defending well. MacLeod is posturing up here but Money has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! MacLeod tries to roll out but it's too tight and MacLeod has to tap! Slick submission there by Money!
