Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Trent Steele!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonny Tilapia!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele scores with a body shot.
Steele lands a lovely overhand right.
Steele defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tilapia.
Steele stuns Tilapia with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Steele misses with a takedown

and Tilapia counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Steele wants to sweep here but Tilapia controlling him for the moment.

Tilapia drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tilapia jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Steele can't keep his opponent in guard - Tilapia advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steele is looking to escape.

Tilapia is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Steele is just riding it out for now. Tilapia eventually gives up the hold.
Tilapia looks gassed!
Steele tries to get to full guard but Tilapia has control of the leg.
Steele on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Steele tries to get out of the position.
Steele wants to get back to his feet.
Tilapia prevents Steele from improving his position.

Tilapia seems to be working for a kimura but Steele defends the submission attempt.
Steele knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tilapia on the ground.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Steele flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tilapia is trying for a kimura here. Steele looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Tilapia wins by kimura!
