Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Harri Tonttu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taco Train (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Harri Tonttu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Taco Train!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Train shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tonttu sprawls well. Tonttu wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Train gets slowly back to his feet.
Tonttu defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Train.
Train keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Train misses with a takedown

and Tonttu counters with a single leg into guard. Train didn't expect that.
Harri Tonttu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taco Train.
Train wants to improve his position but instead Tonttu has moved into half guard.
Tonttu works his foot free and advances to mount.
Tonttu trying to control but Train is having none of it.
Train is wriggling around trying to escape.

Tonttu is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Train has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Tonttu wants to take his opponent's back but Train doesn't allow it.
Train is looking to get to half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tonttu wants to control the pace but Train is squirming around nicely.

Tonttu looking for a guillotine from mount but Train is having none of it.

Train is looking to improve his position but Tonttu isn't that keen on the idea.
Tonttu manages to capitalize on a mistake by Train to take his back!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Train rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Tonttu is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Train has managed to free his arm - good work.
Tonttu thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Train has his takedown stuffed
and Tonttu counters with a one-two to the body.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tonttu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Train as he avoids it easily.
Tonttu dives in and grabs Train's left leg, looking for a takedown. Train pushes down on Tonttu's head and hops out.

and Tonttu counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tonttu.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Train pulls Tonttu in close to prevent any damage.

Tonttu shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Train counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Tonttu looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Tonttu looking for a sweep. Not yet Tonttu, not yet.
Train wants to pass the guard but Tonttu is keeping the position.
Train controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Train wants to control from the top but Tonttu keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tonttu tries to land a sweep but no joy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Tonttu gets a takedown into half guard.
Tonttu wants to stand up but Train is controlling the position.

Tonttu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Train defends it well.
Train is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tonttu's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tonttu's back!

A bit of a pause in the action here. Train controlling the positon.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Train's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Tonttu manages to reverse the position and now he's in Train's guard. Nice work there by Tonttu.
Train is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Tonttu moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Tonttu manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Train manages to get himself to full guard.
Harri Tonttu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Train wants to sweep but no luck.
Tonttu sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Train's guard.
Tonttu tries to stand and escape but Train is controlling the position.
Train tries to roll over but Tonttu keeps him under control.
Train regains full guard. Nicely done.

Train looking for a sweep. Not yet Train, not yet.
Train keeping full guard, as Tonttu tries to pass.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tonttu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Train managing to control the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Train is on top in guard.
Train is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Tonttu manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Train manages to get himself to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Taco Train showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Train with a lazy takedown attempt

Tonttu is looking for a kimura here.

Tonttu looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Train keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Train is defending against the submission attempts here by Tonttu.
Tonttu is looking to advance position but Train won't allow it.

Tonttu has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Train is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Tonttu makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tonttu.
Tonttu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Train is one step ahead there.

I would just about give that final round to Taco Train.
I think Train has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
