Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kash Richardson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richardson has chosen Free Bird as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kash Richardson! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Richardson looking to control.
Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richardson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Richardson wants to stand but Brown is controlling the position. Brown sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Richardson's guard. Brown is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brown is working for a kimura but Richardson is defending it quite comfortably.
Brown is controlling the pace.
Brown is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Richardson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richardson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Richardson can do anything to dispel that myth. Brown seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Richardson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Brown trying to control the pace. Richardson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Brown trying to control the action but Richardson is working from the bottom. Richardson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Richardson tries to clinch up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Richardson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Richardson misses with a wild combination.
Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Richardson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Richardson keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully. Richardson looking for a sweep. Not yet Richardson, not yet. Brown drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brown jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Brown is breathing heavily. Richardson keeping full guard, as Brown tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richardson wants to get back to his feet but Brown is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Brown is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Richardson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Richardson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brown paws at him with a jab and circles away. Richardson tries to clinch but Brown moves out of range. Richardson fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Richardson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Richardson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Richardson moves in looking to clinch but Brown pushes him off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Richardson wants to clinch. Kash Richardson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown swats away the attempt to clinch by Richardson. Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Richardson keeping full guard, as Brown tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brown is working hard here to advance position. Richardson wants to stand and escape but Brown is having none of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brown looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Richardson! Brown controlling the position easily from mount. Brown jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Richardson manages to avoid the submission attempt. Richardson can't do much from the bottom here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Brown tries for a kimura but Richardson is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown controlling from side mount. Brown tries to move into full mount but can't pass Richardson's legs. Richardson is looking to regain half guard here but Brown keeps moving and retains side control. Brown is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Richardson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Brown is trying to get an arm triangle but Richardson is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Richardson is trying to get back to half guard. Brown wants to control but Richardson is keeping him busy. Brown working away.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Richardson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Richardson tries to clinch but Brown is having none of it. Richardson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brown swats him away and circles back towards the center. Richardson is looking to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown keeps the fight on the outside. Richardson wants to clinch. Richardson tries to clinch up. Richardson tries to clinch up. Richardson moves into the clinch successfully.
Richardson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Brown has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Richardson crunches a lovely knee into Brown's ribcage. Richardson is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Brown drops down looking for an ankle pick but Richardson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Richardson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brown swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kash Richardson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Richardson tries to clinch but Brown is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Richardson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brown has time to react. Richardson wants to clinch. Brown closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Richardson pushes Brown away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Brown gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Brown is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Richardson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Brown gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Richardson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Brown lets go of the hold and Richardson can pop his arm back in it's socket.
