Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Duvel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob McPherson! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McPherson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Duvel swivels and escapes. McPherson fails with a takedown attempt. McPherson swats away the attempt to clinch by Duvel. Duvel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Duvel working away. McPherson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! McPherson is trying to control the action in half guard but Duvel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Duvel trying to control but McPherson postures up.
McPherson trying to control the pace. Duvel wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duvel wants to improve his position but McPherson is controlling well.

McPherson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Duvel controls his leg. Duvel wants to get back to full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. McPherson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Duvel napping and manages to drive through into side control! Duvel tries to bench press McPherson off him but McPherson keeps the position. Duvel is trying to control McPherson's posture but McPherson avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duvel defending against the ground and pound. McPherson tries for a kimura but Duvel is defending well. McPherson looks gassed! McPherson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Duvel tries to escape but McPherson is in control. McPherson working away.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Duvel looking for a takedown here - he's got it. McPherson is trying to control the position but Duvel postures up. McPherson working for a triangle but Duvel defends it easily.
McPherson is working an open guard so Duvel takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Duvel shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Duvel showed some decent athleticism there. McPherson pushes Duvel off looking to stand but Duvel dives back in and keeps control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McPherson wants to control but Duvel is keeping busy.
Duvel wants to take a breather but McPherson is having none of it. Still in half guard, Duvel seems content to control. McPherson wants to get back to full guard but Duvel has mounted him! McPherson wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Duvel has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! McPherson taps furiously! This one is all over!
