Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brett Dogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jackson's choice of entrance music: Candy Song. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Simon Jackson! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dogers shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jackson moves out of range of the body kick. Jackson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dogers sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Jackson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jackson stuffs the takedown. Dogers moves into the clinch. Jackson stalling against the cage.
Jackson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dogers pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jackson slips under a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dogers misses with a double jab.
Dogers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jackson is fending him off so far but Dogers persists. Nope, Jackson circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brett Dogers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dogers tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dogers as he avoids it easily. Brett Dogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dogers shoots and misses and Jackson counters with a takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is staying tight to Dogers's torso, preventing him from escaping. Dogers throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Dogers is trying to improve his position. Dogers being controlled for a moment. Dogers is trying to get back to half guard. The referee asks Jackson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jackson prefers to stall for the moment though. Jackson working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jackson just content to control the position. Jackson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Dogers tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jackson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jackson just content to control the position.
Despite being in the dominant position, Simon Jackson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dogers throws a predictable looking body shot
so Jackson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Jackson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dogers tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jackson is stalling in the full guard. Dogers trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Dogers being controlled here, momentarily. Dogers tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dogers throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Dogers will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Jackson postures up.
Dogers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Dogers is breathing heavily.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dogers closes the distance but Jackson moves to the side and Jackson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dogers's guard now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson stays in close to Dogers's body and controls the position. Dogers doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Dogers throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jackson looking to pass the guard. Dogers is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jackson dives into side control.
Jackson slows the pace down. Dogers tries to buck Jackson off but Jackson is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson controls the position from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simon Jackson dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Dogers darts in trying to clinch and Jackson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jackson. Jackson slowing the pace effectively. Jackson can't break the clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Jackson obliges. Jackson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dogers gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Jackson stops a takedown attempt from Dogers.
Dogers gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Jackson regains guard.
Dogers controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dogers throws and elbow that misses. Jackson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dogers's guard. Nice move by Jackson! Jackson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Jackson wants to pass the guard but Dogers is keeping the position. Jackson controls from within his opponent's guard. Dogers is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jackson is controlling him. Jackson preventing the sweep. Jackson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jackson wants to pass the guard but Dogers is keeping the position. Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Dogers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackson controls from within his opponent's guard. Jackson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dogers kicks Jackson off and gets to his feet. Dogers darts in trying to clinch enabling Jackson to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dogers closes the distance looking to clinch and Jackson counters with a takedown into side control. Jackson blocks the strikes from Dogers.
Dogers lands with an elbow strike from the bottom. Dogers throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Jackson takes a little break here. Dogers wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Dogers fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simon Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Jackson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dogers circles away. Dogers shoots and misses and Jackson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Jackson breaks from the clinch.
Dogers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dogers tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jackson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dogers's guard. Jackson is stalling in the full guard. Let's hope that Jackson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Dogers tries to strike from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dogers looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jackson is one step ahead there. Jackson looking to pass the guard. Jackson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jackson wants to pass the guard but Dogers is keeping the position. Jackson won't allow Dogers to get back to his feet. Dogers manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackson manages to get himself to full guard.
Jackson has his hands on Dogers's head, controlling the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dogers connects with a couple of short punches. Jackson is controlling Dogers's posture. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dogers's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jackson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dogers is one step ahead there. Simon Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far. Dogers trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom. Jackson wants to sweep but no luck. Dogers stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dogers throws a combination that misses and Jackson moves into the clinch. Jackson keeps control of Dogers as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Dogers changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jackson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Jackson throws a big right hand that misses. Dogers is trying to keep Jackson in close.

Dogers wants to get back to full guard. Brett Dogers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dogers misses with some strikes from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Simon Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
