Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Dukes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyler Durden! The judges for this bout are , and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dukes doesn't manage to clinch there - Durden circles away.

Durden throws a right hand that Dukes ducks under and follows up with a left that Dukes also avoids with ease. Tyler Durden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jab from Dukes. Durden looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Durden tries a head kick but it misses.
Durden takes the fight into the clinch. Dukes jumps guard but Durden stands there with Dukes around his waist. Dukes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Dukes scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Dukes lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Dukes postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Dukes landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Dukes is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Durden knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Durden is looking to regain half guard here but Dukes keeps moving and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dukes is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Durden is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Dukes is trying to get an arm triangle but Durden is defending well. Dukes scores with punches from side control. Durden is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Durden gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Dukes thows a huge punch but Durden dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dukes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Durden with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dukes lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Dukes is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dukes stops Durden from getting back to his feet.
Dukes looks to land a strike but Durden avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Durden kicks Dukes off and gets to his feet. Horrible takedown by Dukes or perhaps it was just good defense by Durden which made him look bad. Durden leaves Dukes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Dukes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dukes is breathing heavily. Durden throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dukes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durden feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Dukes's calf. Dukes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Durden manages to work his way to half guard, despite Dukes's best efforts. Durden kicks Dukes off and gets back to his feet. Durden gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Dukes looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Durden breaks from the clinch.
Dukes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Durden sprawls well. Durden wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dukes gets slowly back to his feet. No joy there for Durden, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dukes lands a head shot. Durden feints and as Dukes raises his hands in defense, Durden changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Durden with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dukes is trying to keep Durden in close.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Durden passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Dukes actively working from the bottom here. Dukes tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Durden looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Dukes trying to control here.
Dukes flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Dukes will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Dukes looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Dukes throws a leg kick that misses. Dukes misses with a takedown and Durden counters by moving into the clinch. Durden manages to break the clinch.
Durden throws a quick inside leg kick. Durden fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dukes. Durden circles away from the clinch attempt and Durden counters by clinching up. Durden escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Danga de danga de dang - Dukes scores with a four punch combination! Durden throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Dukes doesn't succeed with the takedown and Durden counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dukes won't be happy with that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dukes takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Durden lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Dukes down.

Dukes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Durden holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Dukes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Durden's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dukes misses with a takedown and Durden counters with a low kick, right behind Dukes 's knee. Dukes tries to clinch up but Durden circles away and keeps his distance. Dukes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Durden circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durden throws a series of punches but Dukes moves out of range. Dukes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Durden sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dukes somewhat. Durden falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dukes counters with a left and a right that stings Durden. A low kick from Dukes is predictable there and Durden counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dukes! Dukes is bucking up trying to escape but Durden cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Durden avoids the attempt from Dukes to control. Durden is landing with some decent strikes but Dukes is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Dukes throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Durden working the ground and pound effectively.
Dukes tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dukes tries to lock up and control but Durden gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Tyler Durden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dukes uses from the top position. Dukes prevents Durden from getting back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Durden is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Dukes connects with a couple of short punches. Tyler Durden has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dukes wants to pass the guard but Durden is keeping the position. Durden wants to sweep here but Dukes controlling him for the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Durden throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dukes falls off balance throwing a combination
and Durden counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Durden. A short right from Dukes. Dukes tries to break free but Durden pushes him back against the cage. Durden changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dukes fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dukes shoots in and drives through. Durden sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dukes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Durden as he jumps to the side. Durden closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Durden lands in his opponent's guard. Durden working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dukes's head. Durden tries to free his leg and advance position but Dukes is retaining full guard. Dukes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Durden defends well. Dukes looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dukes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Durden gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dukes has his foot on Durden's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Durden works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Durden gets to his feet. Dukes looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Durden shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dukes looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dukes gets back to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Tyler Durden. Well Durden has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
