Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Esteban Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JF Wildfire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruiz has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Esteban Ruiz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, JF Wildfire! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wildfire is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ruiz's half guard. Wildfire really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ruiz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ruiz is breathing heavily. Wildfire is looking to advance position but Ruiz won't allow it. Wildfire working over Ruiz with some ground and pound. Ruiz looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Wildfire throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Wildfire wants to work for an arm triangle but Ruiz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Wildfire wants to stand up but Ruiz is controlling the position.
Ruiz is looking to escape. Ruiz tries to get to full guard but Wildfire has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ruiz has hold of Wildfire's hands but Wildfire slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruiz is trying to get back to full guard. Ruiz trying to control here.
Wildfire thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ruiz's head. Wildfire stalling. Wildfire gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Wildfire looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Ruiz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wildfire cracks Ruiz with a solid left hand. Ruiz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Ruiz preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Wildfire is looking to work some ground and pound but Ruiz has wrist control. Wildfire must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Wildfire is looking to stand up but Ruiz won't let him. Ruiz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wildfire!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wildfire is looking to improve his position but Ruiz isn't that keen on the idea. Wildfire is squirming around, avoiding Ruiz's attempts to control the action. Wildfire bucks Ruiz off and manages to get back to his feet! Ruiz moves in looking to clinch but Wildfire pushes him off. Wildfire looks to clinch and Ruiz counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Ruiz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wildfire does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Wildfire is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ruiz is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wildfire sees it coming and defends easily. Wildfire looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wildfire trying to control but Ruiz postures up.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Ruiz is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Ruiz content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but JF Wildfire will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Wildfire moves into the clinch. Ruiz can't get the takedown.
Wildfire manages to break the clinch.
Ruiz swats away the attempt to clinch by Wildfire. Wildfire misses with a takedown attempt and Ruiz counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wildfire's guard now. Ruiz passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Wildfire pushes Ruiz off looking to stand but Ruiz dives back in and keeps control.
Wildfire tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Wildfire trying to get back to full guard but Ruiz takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Wildfire is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wildfire flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
BOOM! Ruiz connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Esteban Ruiz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wildfire is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ruiz content just to control the position here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ruiz cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Ruiz cracks Wildfire with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ruiz scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Wildfire?
Ruiz mounts Wildfire! Really nice guard pass there! Wildfire gives up his back whilst trying to strike.
Wildfire is keeping busy.
Wildfire looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Ruiz has got one arm under Wildfire's chin. This could be trouble... Wildfire trying to control the other hand but Ruiz gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Wildfire has tapped out! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Esteban Ruiz!
