PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Iko Rapada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olli Dittrich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rapada comes to the cage accompanied by M83-We Own The Sky. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dittrich misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rapada lands the left hand.

A big head kick from Dittrich and Rapada is sent sprawling to the canvas!

It looks like Iko Rapada has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rapada is trying to keep Dittrich in close.

Dittrich decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Rapada throws a right and a left that Dittrich avoids nicely.
Dittrich misses with a double jab
and Rapada counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Dittrich misses the body punch
and Rapada connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rapada lands a two punch combo.
Dittrich works the jab nicely.
Rapada lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Dittrich misses with a leg kick
and Rapada counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Dittrich throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Rapada connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dittrich moves forwards but Rapada connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Dittrich misses with a straight right.
A head kick misses from Dittrich.
Rapada avoids the head kick by Dittrich.
Dittrich misses with the body kick
and Rapada makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Dittrich looks gassed!
Dittrich tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rapada works over Dittrich's head and body with a nice combination.
Dittrich takes one on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Rapada counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Dittrich!

Rapada tries to stand but can't do so whilst Dittrich controls his leg.

Rapada seems to be working for a kimura but Dittrich defends the submission attempt.
Rapada has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rapada is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Rapada extends the arm and Dittrich is forced to tap!
