Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Slice! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Tim Thomas! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slice has a takedown stuffed. Thomas stuffs the takedown. Nice defenses there by Slice. Slice throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Thomas. Slice lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Thomas backs up against the cage.
It looks like Tim Thomas has been cut. Thomas moves out of range of the strikes. Thomas dodges the punch combination from Slice.
Slice ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Slice tries a head kick but it misses.
Slice tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Thomas was well out of range. Poor timing from Slice. Ken Slice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Slice shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Slice is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Thomas can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Slice is landing with some decent strikes but Thomas is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Thomas is looking to get to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thomas can do anything to dispel that myth. Slice working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Thomas is looking to improve his position but Slice isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Slice controlling his opponent. Slice goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Thomas turns into him and now he's in Slice's guard.
Thomas is pushing down on Slice's leg trying to pass to half guard. Slice is fighting to maintain full guard but Thomas has managed to sneak the leg through. Thomas thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Slice's head. Slice has hold of Thomas's hands but Thomas slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Slice looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Slice is breathing heavily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Thomas perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Thomas is looking to advance position but Slice won't allow it. Slice looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Thomas is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Thomas connects with a nice short shot to Slice's temple. Thomas frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Thomas landing punches. Thomas trying to control but he's not successful this time. Thomas dominating with strikes here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thomas lands with some strikes. A nice elbow there by Thomas. Slice takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Slice is trying desperately to improve position. BOOM! Thomas connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Slice might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Thomas avoids the attempt from Slice to control. Thomas lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Slice hang on? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Thomas working for a guillotine from mount but Slice is in no mood to give up. Thomas with the ground and pound from mount. Slice is working to get back to half guard.

Thomas is looking to finish but Slice is intelligently defending himself. Thomas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thomas throwing strikes but missing. Thomas in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Slice looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Thomas drops back looking for a leg! Slice is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Slice manages to kick Thomas off! Thomas jumps back into Slice's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thomas wants to control from the top but Slice keeps moving. Thomas cracks Slice with a solid left hand. Slice bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Thomas's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Slice preventing the sweep. Thomas is trying to keep Slice in close.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Slice stands and steps away. Thomas gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Slice throws a head kick that half lands.

Nice work. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Slice. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thomas connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Thomas looks to throw the jab but Slice is out of range. Slice avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Slice ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Thomas throws a low kick but Slice avoids it. Slice fails with the takedown letting Thomas counter with a right hand. Thomas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Thomas lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thomas bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Slice's head. Thomas is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. A slow jab from Thomas misses its intended target. Thomas connects with a crisp jab. Thomas misses the shot to the body. Thomas might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Slice dodges the punch combination from Thomas.
Tim Thomas seems to be getting the better of the standup. Thomas works Slice's body with a nice hook. Thomas throws an overhand right that lands on Slice's shoulder, as Slice tries to avoid the shot. Slice tries for a takedown but Thomas circles away easily and Thomas counters with a lovely straight right hand! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Thomas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Slice moves away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Thomas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Tim Thomas's cut. That's time! Slice's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

and Slice takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Thomas checks the leg kick. Thomas works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Slice tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Thomas dodges the punch combination from Slice.
Thomas has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Slice fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Slice is looking to slow Thomas down with leg kicks. Slice throws a left and a right that both miss
and Thomas counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Slice thinking. Thomas scores with a sloppy right hand. Slice should have avoided that one.
That's one minute gone in the round. A combination from Thomas does no damage. Slice throws a combination that misses and Thomas counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ken Slice is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Slice walks into a left hand. Slice ducks under a wild hook from Thomas. Slice doesn't succeed with the takedown and Thomas counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Slice thinking. Thomas throws out a powerful jab. Slice takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Thomas scores with a slapping inside leg kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nice shot by Thomas. Thomas finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas connects with a stiff jab that staggers Slice - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
