Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anders Mousasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saki Dateh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mousasi comes into the arena with Bassie en Adriaan blaring out of the sound system. Saki Dateh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dateh connects with a looping right hand.
It looks like Anders Mousasi has been cut. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mousasi. Dateh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dateh displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Dateh stuffs the takedown attempt from Mousasi. Mousasi gets slowly back to his feet. Mousasi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dateh as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anders Mousasi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mousasi is breathing heavily. Dateh sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Mousasi to the ground! Dateh dives into full mount looking to finish!
Mousasi is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mousasi tries to reverse the position but Dateh maintains control. Oh Mousasi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Mousasi throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Mousasi seems to have got his legs back now. Mousasi is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Dateh wants to take Mousasi's back here but Mousasi is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Dateh wants to control the pace but Mousasi is squirming around nicely. Mousasi is trying desperately to improve position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mousasi is working hard here to advance position. Dateh wants to stand but Mousasi is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Dateh looking to control but Mousasi is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Mousasi keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Dateh blocks Mousasi's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dateh wants to stand but Mousasi is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mousasi tries to reverse the position but Dateh maintains control. Mousasi sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Dateh tries to stand but can't do so whilst Mousasi controls his leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mousasi gets full guard. Dateh preventing the sweep. Mousasi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dateh trying to control but Mousasi is working from the bottom. Dateh preventing the sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Saki Dateh dominated that round. The cut man is working on Anders Mousasi's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nice sprawl there from Dateh as Mousasi shoots in. Dateh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mousasi.
A head kick lands from Dateh that sends Mousasi to the canvas. Mousasi tries to scramble back to his feet but Dateh brings him back down into side control. Mousasi is not content to let Dateh control the position. Mousasi sneaks back into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dateh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mousasi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Mousasi works his way to full guard. Good work. Dateh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mousasi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dateh trying to control but Mousasi is working from the bottom. Mousasi looking for a sweep. Not yet Mousasi, not yet. Mousasi tries to strike from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mousasi has his foot on Dateh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dateh works his way back into a safe position though. Mousasi throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mousasi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A right-left combo lands from Dateh.
Anders Mousasi's cut is getting worse. Dateh drops Mousasi with a straight right hand, right on the button! Dateh follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Saki Dateh!
