Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Lontrame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Daniels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vincent Lontrame!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lontrame gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Daniels to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Lontrame seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lontrame is trying to keep Daniels in close.
Daniels postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Daniels passes Lontrame's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Daniels wants to control but Lontrame is keeping him busy.

Lontrame utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Lontrame wants to stand but Daniels is controlling the position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lontrame is on top in guard.

Daniels tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lontrame wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Lontrame prevents Daniels from escaping the position.
Daniels tries to bench press Lontrame off him but Lontrame keeps the position.

Daniels is letting Lontrame control him for a moment.
Daniels is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Lontrame blocks the strikes from Daniels.
Lontrame slips a nice elbow through Daniels's hands, connecting with Daniels's forehead.
Lontrame prevents Daniels from improving his position.
Lontrame is keen to just control but Daniels is a slippery customer.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Daniels punishes Lontrame's body with a nice straight punch.
Lontrame throws a combination. Daniels tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Jack Daniels is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Daniels dives in and grabs Lontrame's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lontrame pushes down on Daniels's head and hops out.
Lontrame shoots in but Daniels avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Jack Daniels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lontrame looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Daniels changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lontrame looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lontrame is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Daniels's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Daniels's back!

Lontrame has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Daniels's body.

Lontrame is hanging on to Daniels's back as he tries to escape.
Jack Daniels overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Daniels controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
You can see the frustration on Daniels's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Daniels grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Lontrame should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Daniels staying busy and making it hard for Lontrame to control.
Lontrame lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Daniels.
Even with his hooks in, Lontrame manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Lontrame is trying to stick to Daniels's back but Daniels is turning into Lontrame. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lontrame's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Daniels.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Daniels stuffs the takedown.

Lontrame clinches up with Daniels and pushes him back against the cage.
Daniels has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lontrame avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Lontrame lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Daniels!

Lontrame can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Daniels is looking to escape.
Daniels keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Daniels wants to control but Lontrame is having none of it.

Lontrame stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Lontrame tries to move into range but Daniels moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Daniels shoots for a takedown but Lontrame saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lontrame throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lontrame gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Daniels not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Daniels prevents Lontrame from standing back up.

Daniels is pressing down on Lontrame's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lontrame is holding on for now.
Lontrame is looking for a sweep. Daniels is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Daniels.
I think Daniels has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
