Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andy Hug! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fester Panasonic! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hug shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Panasonic as he jumps to the side. Panasonic is looking to clinch but Hug is avoiding it.
Panasonic scores with the left hand. Hug knows he should have avoided that one. Panasonic fails in his attempt to clinch. Panasonic cracks Hug with a right hand to the side of the head.
Panasonic closes the distance and clinches. Hug tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Hug fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Hug. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hug has had enough of the clinch but Panasonic keeps him there for the moment.
Hug pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Panasonic has Hug pressed against the cage, preventing Hug from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Panasonic tries to land knees in the clinch but Hug avoids the damage to the body.
Hug pulls guard. Hug trying to keep a closed guard but Panasonic is proving a slippery customer.

Panasonic drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hug dives on top into guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Panasonic keeping moving, preventing Hug from controlling successfully. Panasonic doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Hug wants to control from the top but Panasonic keeps moving. Hug is fighting to break Panasonic's control of his arms but Panasonic is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.  The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hug throws a head kick but Panasonic moves out of range.

He's now in the guard on the top. Hug trying to control but Panasonic is working from the bottom. Panasonic throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Hug is looking for a sweep. Panasonic is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hug keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Hug is trying to stand back up but Panasonic is controlling him
Hug on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Hug trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Panasonic working away from the top, dropping strikes. Panasonic lands a big shot there that rocks Hug but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hug is looking to get to half guard. Panasonic with the ground and pound from mount. Hug is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hug on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hug tries to get out of the position. Hug is breathing heavily. Panasonic working Hug over with strikes here. Hug manages to regain half guard. Good work. Panasonic drops an elbow to the side of Hug's head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hug wants to get back to full guard. Panasonic missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Hug is trying to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hug is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Panasonic can't fight it off and eventually Hug manages to take the fight to the floor. Panasonic looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hug wants to pass the guard but Panasonic is keeping the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Panasonic keeping moving, preventing Hug from controlling successfully. Panasonic looking to control.

Hug pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Panasonic is keeping the position for now.
Panasonic working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hug doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hug manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hug wants to control from the top but Panasonic keeps moving.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Panasonic tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Hug counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Panasonic! Hug lands a big elbow. Hug trying to control but he's not successful this time. Hug breaks from Panasonic's wrist control and lands an elbow. Panasonic tries to lock up and control but Hug gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Panasonic has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hug trying to control but he's not successful this time.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Panasonic throwing punches from his back. He's mounted here but still fighting back. Hug looking to finish Panasonic with some ground and pound. This is bad for Panasonic! Panasonic is in a horrible position here. Hug smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Hug lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Panasonic is looking to improve his position but Hug isn't that keen on the idea. Hug scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Panasonic?

Hug is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Hug extends the arm and Panasonic is forced to tap!
