Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tim Corsi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Clayborne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corsi comes to the cage accompanied by Womanizer by Britney Spears. Tim Corsi looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tim Corsi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Clayborne! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corsi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clayborne looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Corsi wants to control from the top but Clayborne keeps moving. Corsi really is a fat lump. Clayborne looking for a sweep. Not yet Clayborne, not yet. Corsi wants to control from the top but Clayborne keeps moving. Corsi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Clayborne is proving hard to escape from. Clayborne throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clayborne keeping moving, preventing Corsi from controlling successfully. Corsi is really struggling to control Clayborne but he's trying to hold on to the position. Corsi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Corsi tries to clinch there but Clayborne circles away.
Corsi throws a head kick that half lands.
Clayborne throws a lazy head kick and Corsi counters with a nice double leg into guard. Corsi passes Clayborne's left leg - he's now in half guard. Clayborne tries to roll over but Corsi keeps him under control. Clayborne has hold of Corsi's hands but Corsi slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clayborne trying to control here.
Corsi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Clayborne is just riding it out for now. Corsi eventually gives up the hold. Corsi is trying to control. Clayborne wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Clayborne works his way to full guard. Good work. Corsi stopping the sweep attempt from Clayborne. Clayborne looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Corsi dominated that round. That's time! Corsi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Clayborne tries to clinch but fails miserably and Corsi counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Corsi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Clayborne. Clayborne closes the distance but Corsi moves to the side and Corsi counters with a nice double leg into guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Clayborne is on top in guard.
Corsi is looking to stand back up but Clayborne counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Corsi. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Corsi wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corsi tries to roll over but Clayborne keeps him under control. Corsi is trying to maintain the position but Clayborne is very close to passing his half guard. Corsi really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... Corsi manages to get to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Clayborne pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Corsi is keeping the position for now. Clayborne stopping the sweep attempt from Corsi. Clayborne works over Corsi with some ground and pound from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clayborne won't allow Corsi to get back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Corsi tries to keep at a distance but Clayborne has taken the fight into the clinch. Clayborne wants to break free but Corsi has control.
Corsi wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Corsi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Corsi fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Clayborne wants to clinch and Corsi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Clayborne tries to get to full guard but Corsi has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clayborne wants to control but Corsi is keeping busy and won't allow it. Corsi seems to be working for a kimura but Clayborne defends the submission attempt. Corsi is looking to take a break and control but Clayborne is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Corsi dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Clayborne tries to clinch up and Corsi counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Corsi trying to control from Clayborne's half guard. Clayborne has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Corsi advances position into side control! Corsi has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Corsi tries to clinch up and Clayborne counters with a nice body kick. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clayborne clinches up against the cage. Clayborne tries to circle away but Corsi has him pinned against the cage. Clayborne wants to break free. Corsi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Clayborne walks away with a smile on his face. Corsi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Clayborne tries to clinch but Corsi moves away and Corsi counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Corsi jumps guard but Clayborne stands there with Corsi around his waist. Corsi gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Corsi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Corsi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Clayborne wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Corsi has him pressed against the cage. Clayborne breaks from the clinch.
Clayborne clinches but Corsi breaks the clinch and Corsi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corsi moves into full mount! Clayborne won't be happy about that! Clayborne wants to control but Corsi is having none of it. Clayborne tries to reverse the position but Corsi maintains control. Corsi get's back to his feet. Corsi circles away from the clinch attempt and Corsi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Clayborne won't be happy with that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clayborne gets back to half guard. Clayborne is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Corsi performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Clayborne blocking the ground and pound attempt from Corsi.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The fighters are battling for position here. Clayborne manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Phil Clayborne has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Corsi trying to control the position from guard on top but Clayborne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Corsi thows a big elbow that misses. Corsi looking to sit in guard and control but Clayborne gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Corsi is looking to stand back up but Clayborne counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Corsi.
And that's the end of the fight! Tim Corsi showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Corsi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
