PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hermann Edelgard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Somali Pirate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Hermann Edelgard has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Hermann Edelgard seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Edelgard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Somali Pirate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Edelgard takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pirate tries to close the distance and clinch up but Edelgard swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pirate loads up on a big right hand but Edelgard slips the punch.
Edelgard is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Pirate.

It looks like Hermann Edelgard has been cut.

Edelgard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Edelgard changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pirate looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
