Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pancho Pantera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Van Der Hoost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Van Der Hoost will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Van Der Hoost with that takedown attempt.
Van Der Hoost shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pantera but Pantera pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Pantera wants to clinch up but Van Der Hoost keeps it at a distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Van Der Hoost.
Pancho Pantera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Van Der Hoost.

Pantera feints and as Van Der Hoost raises his hands in defense, Pantera changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Pantera might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Pantera is pushing down on Van Der Hoost's leg trying to pass to half guard. Van Der Hoost is fighting to maintain full guard but Pantera has managed to sneak the leg through.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Van Der Hoost tries to kick Pantera off but Pantera keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Pantera looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Pantera could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Van Der Hoost looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Pantera tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Van Der Hoost smiles and moves away.

Pantera drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Van Der Hoost dives on top into guard.

Van Der Hoost wants to stand and escape but instead Pantera has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Pantera drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pantera jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Pantera shoots in and drives through. Van Der Hoost sprawls well.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Pantera.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pantera is pressed up against the cage. Van Der Hoost has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pantera down to the mat. Pantera avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pantera, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
