Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spikely Deeneero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spikely Deeneero will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodney Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Spikely Deeneero!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deeneero shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gracie as he avoids it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Deeneero is defended easily by Gracie.
Deeneero will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rodney Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spikely Deeneero.
Deeneero looks for a takedown but Gracie sprawls well.

Gracie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Deeneero tries to buck Gracie off but Gracie is having none of it.

Gracie is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Deeneero knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Deeneero for a finish.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gracie is trying to stick to Deeneero's back but Deeneero is turning into Gracie. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Gracie's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Deeneero.
Deeneero is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Deeneero should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Gracie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Deeneero tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gracie trying to control but Deeneero is working from the bottom.
Deeneero is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Deeneero thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Deeneero shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gracie is trying to defend but Deeneero finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Deeneero is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gracie defends well.

Deeneero working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Deeneero holds on and takes a little breather.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Deeneero bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gracie's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Deeneero tries to move to mount but Gracie blocks the move with his legs.

Spikely Deeneero showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Gracie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Deeneero has eaten all the pies!

Despite being in the dominant position, Spikely Deeneero just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Deeneero trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Gracie counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Deeneero!
Deeneero is wriggling around trying to escape.

Deeneero is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Deeneero is desperately trying to improve his position but Gracie has a good base and remains in mount.

Gracie jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Deeneero manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Deeneero is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gracie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gracie's back!
