The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trinidad Jr has La Fleur up against the cage in a clinch.
Trinidad Jr working La Fleur over with knees to the body.
Trinidad Jr has hold of one of La Fleur's legs. La Fleur is fighting the takedown attempt but Trinidad Jr gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
La Fleur is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
La Fleur has momentary wrist control but Trinidad Jr slips an elbow through the middle.
La Fleur has his foot on Trinidad Jr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Trinidad Jr works his way back into a safe position though.

Trinidad Jr must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

La Fleur has momentary wrist control but Trinidad Jr slips an elbow through the middle.

Trinidad Jr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Trinidad Jr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
La Fleur is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Trinidad Jr defends well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
La Fleur has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Trinidad Jr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

La Fleur had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Trinidad Jr is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. La Fleur Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Trinidad Jr's back instead.

Trinidad Jr might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control La Fleur kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Trinidad Jr defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of La Fleur's arms.
La Fleur has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Trinidad Jr is in real trouble here. La Fleur gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Trinidad Jr is tapping out! La Fleur wins by rear naked choke!
