Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galvao misses with a hook.
Hamster is looking to clinch.
Hamster misses with a wild combination.
Hamster bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Galvao's head.
Hamster misses the jab.
Galvao closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Galvao lands in his opponent's guard.
Hamster will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Galvao has gone for a leg lock! Hamster slips out almost immediately though and dives into Galvao's guard.
Galvao looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Hamster puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Hamster wants to stand up but Galvao has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Galvao wants to get back to full guard.
Hamster stands up from half guard.
Galvao avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Galvao takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Galvao wants to clinch.
Hamster lands a jab to Galvao's midsection.

and Galvao counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hamster won't be happy with that.
Hamster tries to improve position but can't.

Hamster gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Galvao is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Hamster reverses the position - he's now on top in Galvao's guard.
Hamster has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Galvao looking for a sweep. Not yet Galvao, not yet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hamster has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Galvao is proving hard to escape from.
Galvao had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hamster is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Galvao Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hamster's back instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Galvao gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hamster moves into the clinch.
