Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Renan Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Hans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Guerreiro. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hans throws a series of punches but Silva moves out of range.
Hans will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hans wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hans has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hans postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Silva is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hans, into his guard.
Silva passes Hans's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Hans wants to get back to his feet.
Silva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Silva is trying to control the action in half guard but Hans is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hans manages to get himself to full guard.

Silva is really struggling to control Hans but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Hans throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hans lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Silva shoots in for a double leg but Hans sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Silva avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Hans counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Silva thinking.

Will Hans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hans throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hans wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hans fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Hans tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hans throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.
Hans takes a swing at Silva's ribcage but misses.

Silva throws a push kick but Hans slaps the foot to one side.
Silva shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Silva showed some decent athleticism there.
Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hans does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Silva is working for a kimura but Hans is defending it quite comfortably.
Silva passes to side control.
Hans tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hans keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Hans's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Silva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hans is looking to regain half guard here but Silva keeps moving and retains side control.

Hans wants to get back to his feet.
Hans throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hans gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Hans shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Silva is trying to control the action in half guard but Hans is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Hans is not content to let Silva control the position.
Silva gets to mount! Hans was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Silva goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hans is on top in guard.
Silva controls Hans momentarily but Hans frees himself.
Hans in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hans wants to stand but Silva has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hans got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hans has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
