Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Bowles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rice Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bowles comes into the arena with Hells Bells by ACDC blaring out of the sound system. Rice Boyd has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Brandon Bowles's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brandon Bowles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rice Boyd! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice leg kick lands there from Boyd. Bowles throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Boyd lands a nice shot to the body.
Brandon Bowles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bowles misses with a two punch combination.
Boyd lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Boyd moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Boyd rushes Bowles and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Boyd drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bowles pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bowles takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Boyd gets a clinch. Boyd blocks an uppercut.
Bowles swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Boyd gets through Bowles's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Boyd goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bowles prevents it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Boyd lands with a short head shot on the inside. Bowles's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Boyd tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
A head punch on the inside from Bowles fails to land. Bowles swings wildly with an uppercut but Boyd uses good head movement to avoid it. Bowles working aggressively here.
Boyd has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Bowles clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Boyd's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyd is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Bowles defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Bowles is in bad spot here.
Boyd is trying to stick to Bowles's back but Bowles is turning into Boyd. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Boyd's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bowles. Bowles avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Boyd working for a triangle but Bowles defends it easily.
Boyd looks gassed! Boyd looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Boyd looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bowles is one step ahead there. Bowles is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boyd is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Bowles frees his head nicely. Oh but Boyd has switched to an armbar! Bowles is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
