Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Louis Bedard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Sarsgaard! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bedard misses with a head kick.
Mike Sarsgaard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jab from Sarsgaard. Sarsgaard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A big right from Bedard misses. Bedard rushes Sarsgaard and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Sarsgaard takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Mike Sarsgaard has been cut. Bedard lands a damaging elbow. Bedard gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Bedard lands a damaging elbow. Sarsgaard blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Sarsgaard is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bedard pulls him back up using the underhooks. Mike Sarsgaard's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Bedard tries to land a knee to the head but Sarsgaard blocks with his arms.
Bedard creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Sarsgaard's defenses. Sarsgaard wants a takedown but no success here.

Bedard keeps control of Sarsgaard as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Bedard is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Bedard comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Sarsgaard is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bedard gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Louis Bedard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Sarsgaard. Bedard landing knees to the head.

Bedard is pressed up against the cage. Sarsgaard has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bedard down to the mat. Bedard avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Bedard darts in and clinches Sarsgaard up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bedard lands a knee to the head.

Sarsgaard drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bedard pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bedard tries to clinch up. Bedard forces Sarsgaard back against the cage and clinches. Bedard lands an elbow that stopped Sarsgaard in his tracks for a moment. Bedard lands a knee to the head.
Bedard's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Bedard gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bedard throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Sarsgaard blocks it with crossed arms. Bedard tries to land a knee to the head but Sarsgaard blocks with his arms.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sarsgaard closes the distance looking to clinch letting Bedard counter with a right hand. A lazy body kick from Sarsgaard and Bedard counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bedard.
