The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simpson misses with a wild body shot.
Hamsik fails in his attempt to clinch.
Simpson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hamsik circles away quickly and effectively.

Simpson throws a lazy right hand but Hamsik sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Simpson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
