Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Mayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mayo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Super Furry Animals - Golden Retriever kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Mayo! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee closes the distance and clinches. Lee utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Mayo has Lee pushed against the cage. Mayo fails to pull guard.
Lee is trying to break the clinch but Mayo has him pressed against the cage. Mayo is working for takedown but Lee is calmly controlling the position for now. Mayo is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Bruce Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Mayo. Lee putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Mayo in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Lee prevents Mayo from breaking the clinch. Mayo misses with a hook to the ribs.
Mayo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Lee.
Mayo is struggling to control the position. Lee taking a breather. Lee is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Mayo gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Lee looking for a sweep. Not yet Lee, not yet. Mayo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee wants to stand but Mayo is controlling the position. Mayo is looking to work some ground and pound but Lee has wrist control. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lee shoots in but no luck this time. Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mayo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mayo connects with the punch.
It looks like Bruce Lee has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee instigates a clinch. Lee takes a shot to the head. Lee tries to circle away but Mayo has him pinned against the cage. Lee trying to land knees to the body.
Mayo has Lee pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lee manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Mayo working hard to break the clinch. Mayo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lee blocks a jab. Lee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Lee fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mayo, pushing him back against the cage. Lee fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Mayo is looking to break free of the clinch but Lee has double underhooks. Lee has Mayo pressed against the cage, preventing Mayo from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Mayo can't break the clinch.
Mayo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mayo manages to end up in side control. Lee is trying to improve his position. Sloppy strikes there by Mayo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mayo is looking to take a break and control but Lee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mayo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lee wants to control but Mayo postures up. Mayo sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Lee is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Mayo just content to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Mayo. Lee avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Mayo. Lee is looking to regain half guard here but Mayo keeps moving and retains side control. Lee manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Mayo lands strikes from half guard. Mayo performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Lee pushes Mayo off but Mayo dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Mayo dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bruce Lee's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Lee moves out of range of the strikes. Mayo takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Mayo misses with a straight left. Mayo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Mayo swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee. Mayo thows a body shot but no joy. Lee fails with the takedown and Mayo counters with a lovely straight right hand! Lee steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mayo. Lee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lee fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Mayo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lee throws out the jab. Lee avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Mayo misses with a looping left. Lee throws a one two combo.
Bruce Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Mayo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mayo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mayo somewhat. Mayo scores with a shot to the body.
Mayo throws an overhand right that lands on Lee's shoulder, as Lee tries to avoid the shot. Lee keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mayo throws the left hand but Lee avoids the punch easily. Mayo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lee was well out of range. Poor timing from Mayo. Lee misses with a series of wild punches.
Lee will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lee takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. A big left from Lee misses. Lee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mayo's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee throws a big right hand that misses. Mayo tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mayo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Mayo is pressing down on Lee's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lee is holding on for now. Mayo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Mayo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Lee has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mayo is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mayo scores with a couple of nice shots. Mayo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Mayo looking to finish Lee with some ground and pound. This is bad for Lee! Lee is working to get back to half guard.
Lee is working hard here to advance position. Mayo wants to control the pace but Lee is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mayo is landing with some decent strikes but Lee is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Mayo avoids the attempt from Lee to control. Mayo breaks from Lee's wrist control and lands an elbow. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mayo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Mayo fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Lee is rocked! Lee is desperately trying to improve his position but Mayo has a good base and remains in mount. Mayo landing strikes, looking to finish! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mayo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lee can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Lee wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Mayo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Bruce Lee's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Lee ducks under a wild hook from Mayo. Lee uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mayo. Mayo throws a big shot that misses. Lee moves out of range of the strikes. Lee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mayo.
Lee moves away from the strike by Mayo. Lee shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mayo napping and manages to drive through into side control! Lee lands some shots froms side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mayo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Lee working over Mayo with some ground and pound. Mayo looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Lee thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mayo's head. Mayo blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lee. Mayo manages to get to full guard.
Chris Mayo has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Mayo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lee wants to stand but Mayo has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Mayo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lee wants to stand but Mayo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mayo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lee sees it coming and avoids it easily. Mayo avoids the head kick by Lee.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mayo throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Lee closes the distance looking to clinch and Mayo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Mayo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lee defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mayo. Mayo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lee moves away. Lee fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lee scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Mayo misses the body punch and Lee counters by moving into the clinch. Lee breaks the clinch.
Mayo fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Mayo misses with an uppercut. Lee saw that one coming. Mayo misses with a hook. Lee throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Lee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mayo fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A slow jab from Mayo misses its intended target. Mayo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Lee tries to buck Mayo off but Mayo is having none of it. Mayo has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Lee! Bruce Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mayo controlling the pace for now. A nice elbow there by Mayo.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Mayo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Mayo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
