Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Rambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gibesi Aymeric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aymeric has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. John Rambo looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Rambo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gibesi Aymeric! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rambo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
John Rambo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Aymeric is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rambo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Aymeric looks gassed! Aymeric throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rambo's waist but Rambo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aymeric off to one side. Rambo connects with a right hand. Aymeric shakes it off. Rambo misses with a few strikes there.
Rambo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Aymeric manages to avoid it. Rambo looks to land a combination but Aymeric avoids it well. Rambo misses with a takedown and Aymeric counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Rambo is trying to stand back up but Aymeric is controlling him
That's one minute gone in the round. Aymeric wants to stand up but Rambo has a hold of him and won't allow it. Rambo tries to kick Aymeric off but Aymeric keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Rambo trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Aymeric wants to control but Rambo is keeping him busy. Rambo is trying to stand up here but Aymeric is controlling him well. Aymeric is pressing down on Rambo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rambo is holding on for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Aymeric blocks the body kick.
Aymeric has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rambo finds it's way round the side to connect with Aymeric's head. The fight stays on the outside here - Rambo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rambo swinging wilding here.
Rambo has his takedown stuffed and Aymeric counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rambo's guard now. Rambo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rambo looking for subs off his back but Aymeric has passed one foot through into half guard.
Rambo is looking to escape. Aymeric passes into side control, despite Rambo's attempt to control the position.
Aymeric is chipping away with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rambo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Rambo misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Rambo wants to get back to his feet. Rambo kicks Aymeric off and gets back to his feet. Aymeric tries for a takedown but Rambo circles away easily and Rambo counters with a nice kick to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gibesi Aymeric dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rambo misses with a takedown so Aymeric counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Rambo wants to stand and escape but Aymeric is having none of it. Aymeric drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aymeric jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Rambo is looking to stand up but Aymeric isn't so interested in that idea. Rambo wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Aymeric manages to pass to side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rambo tries to get to full guard but Aymeric has control of the leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rambo pushes Aymeric off looking to stand but Aymeric dives back in and keeps control.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rambo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aymeric was well out of range. Poor timing from Rambo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rambo misses with a takedown and Aymeric counters with a takedown into side control. Rambo on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The strikes coming from Aymeric are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Rambo is looking for a sweep. Rambo manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Rambo looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Rambo escapes and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jab, jab by Rambo - just one landing. Rambo throws a hook to the side of Aymeric's head but Aymeric sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Rambo falls off balance throwing a combination
and Aymeric counters with a takedown into side control. Rambo wants to get back to his feet. Aymeric decides to stand back up. Rambo has his takedown stuffed and Aymeric counters with a nice double leg into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Rambo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rambo has a hand on Aymeric's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Aymeric takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Rambo tries to buck Aymeric off but he can't manage it. Rambo is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gibesi Aymeric showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Rambo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Rambo throws out a loose jab but Aymeric uses good head movement to avoid it. Rambo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Aymeric stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Rambo drives through with a takedown into guard. Aymeric keeping moving, preventing Rambo from controlling successfully. Rambo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rambo wants to stand but Aymeric has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rambo trying to control the position from guard on top but Aymeric is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rambo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Rambo wanted to stand there but Aymeric had control of the position. Rambo lands a couple of decent looking shots. Rambo wants to pass the guard but Aymeric is keeping the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rambo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Aymeric decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rambo's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aymeric is standing up over Rambo. Rambo looks to escape but Aymeric dives into side control.
Rambo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aymeric on the ground. Rambo is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Aymeric working away. Aymeric scoring with punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rambo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Aymeric asserts his dominance and retains side control. Rambo tries to bench press Aymeric off him but Aymeric keeps the position. Gibesi Aymeric is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Rambo is working hard here to advance position. Aymeric working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Rambo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Aymeric asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rambo throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! John Rambo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Aymeric takes one to the side of the head.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Rambo. I think Aymeric has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
