Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Draven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Draven!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alejandro Cabrera!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Draven looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Cabrera!
Draven fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Draven wants to control the pace but Cabrera is squirming around nicely.
Cabrera takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Cabrera is trying to escape the mount.
Cabrera is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Draven tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Cabrera tries to lock up and control but Draven gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Cabrera squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Draven controlling the pace for now.

Draven tries to control but Cabrera wriggling away.
Draven avoids the attempt from Cabrera to control.
Draven punishing his opponent with strikes.
Draven trying to control but Cabrera is having none of it.
Draven will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Draven is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Cabrera is in all sorts of trouble here.
Cabrera is squirming around, avoiding Draven's attempts to control the action.
A nice elbow there by Draven.
Draven takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Cabrera tries to hold on but Draven postures up.
Cabrera should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Draven is in the full mount, landing strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cabrera flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Cabrera tries to lock up and control but Draven gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Draven knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cabrera on the ground.
Draven lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Draven with a couple of short strikes.
Draven landing shots from mount.
Cabrera can't escape the position.
Cabrera throwing hammer fists to the chest of Draven. What's that going to do exactly?
Draven tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Draven looking to finish Cabrera with some ground and pound. This is bad for Cabrera!
Draven lands a heavy elbow.
Cabrera tries to hold on but Draven postures up.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Draven has hold of Cabrera's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Cabrera manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Cabrera tries to hold on but Draven pushes him away.

Draven looking to control but Cabrera is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Cabrera is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Draven postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cabrera looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Draven landing punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Draven looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cabrera tries to reverse the position but Draven maintains control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Draven dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Cabrera missing with a left hand there. Draven was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Draven tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cabrera was well out of range. Poor timing from Draven.
Draven lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Draven misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cabrera rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Draven moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Draven counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Cabrera thinking.
Cabrera blocks a head kick by Draven.
Draven lands with a shot to the body.
Cabrera moves out of range as Draven throws a body kick.
Draven throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Draven throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cabrera counters with a left and a right that stings Draven.
Cabrera tries for a takedown but Draven circles away easily
and Draven counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cabrera avoids the head kick by Draven.
Draven tries a head kick but it misses.

Cabrera darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Draven desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Draven actively working from the bottom here.
Cabrera looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Draven is staying active underneath Cabrera, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Nice strikes from Cabrera there.

Draven manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Cabrera shoots in and drives through. Draven sprawls well.

Draven changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cabrera looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Cabrera is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Draven is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Draven tries to control but Cabrera wriggling away.
Cabrera tries to hold on but Draven pushes him away.
Draven looking to control and managing it successfully.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Draven trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Draven dominated that second round.
That's time! Draven's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Cabrera blocks a head kick by Draven.
Draven throws a right hand that Cabrera ducks under and follows up with a left that Cabrera also avoids with ease.
Draven tries to work over Cabrera's front leg with a kick but Cabrera checks it.
Cabrera keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cabrera tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Draven counters with a body kick.
Draven throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Draven throws a head kick that misses.
Eric Draven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Draven avoids the head kick by Cabrera.
Draven pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cabrera throws a leg kick which misses Draven's front leg but catches the back leg as Draven tries to avoid it.
Cabrera bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Draven closes the distance but Cabrera moves to the side

and Cabrera counters with a single leg into guard. Draven didn't expect that.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Cabrera drops back looking for a leg! Draven is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Draven manages to kick Cabrera off! Cabrera jumps back into Draven's guard.

Draven wants to stand but Cabrera is controlling the position.
Draven is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Draven on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Draven tries to get out of the position.
Draven wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Cabrera manages to pass to side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Draven regains full guard. Nicely done.
Cabrera postures up.
Cabrera is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Draven is pulling down on Cabrera's head. It's preventing any offense from Cabrera, at least for the moment.
Draven looking for a sweep. Not yet Draven, not yet.
Cabrera working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Cabrera won't allow Draven to get back to his feet.
Eric Draven overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Draven pulls Cabrera in close to his closed guard and prevents Cabrera from doing any damage or advancing position.
Cabrera wants to control from the top but Draven keeps moving.
Cabrera sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Draven striking off his back but it's not causing Cabrera any problems.
Draven throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Cabrera wants to control from the top but Draven keeps moving.
Draven lands a decent shot there.
Alejandro Cabrera has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Draven has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cabrera can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cabrera keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Draven's head.

Eric Draven is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Draven has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
