Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Ruoska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osmond Schwartz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schwartz has chosen Hell March as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pekka Ruoska! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Osmond Schwartz! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Schwartz is defended easily by Ruoska. Schwartz tries to clinch there but Ruoska circles away.
Schwartz shoots in for a takedown but Ruoska shows good takedown defense. Ruoska tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Schwartz counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Ruoska breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ruoska shoots in and drives through. Schwartz sprawls well. Ruoska fails to land the takedown. Schwartz has his takedown stuffed and Ruoska counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Pekka Ruoska has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Osmond Schwartz. Schwartz actively working from the bottom here. Ruoska throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Schwartz has eaten all the pies! Ruoska is trying to control the action in half guard but Schwartz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruoska prevents Schwartz from improving his position. Ruoska wants to stand but Schwartz has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Schwartz avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ruoska. Ruoska will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Schwartz is staying active underneath Ruoska, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ruoska wants to pass to mount but Schwartz is defending the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. No joy there for Ruoska, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ruoska shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Ruoska thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Schwartz's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruoska cracks Schwartz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Schwartz can't escape the position.
Ruoska thowing shots but they're missing. Schwartz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Schwartz wants to hold on but Ruoska pushes him away. Ruoska looking to control but Schwartz is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Schwartz tries to lock up and control but Ruoska gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Ruoska controlling from the full mount. Schwartz throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruoska avoids the attempt from Schwartz to control. Schwartz is working to get back to half guard.
Schwartz looks gassed!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ruoska is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Schwartz has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Ruoska trying to control but Schwartz is having none of it. Ruoska controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Schwartz tries to hold on but Ruoska pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Schwartz bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Schwartz is looking to work some ground and pound but Ruoska has wrist control. Ruoska wants to sweep here but Schwartz controlling him for the moment. Ruoska throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Ruoska throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Ruoska wants to sweep here but Schwartz controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pekka Ruoska dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Ruoska fails with the takedown and Schwartz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Schwartz. Ruoska keeping moving, preventing Schwartz from controlling successfully. Schwartz cracks Ruoska with a solid left hand. Schwartz decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ruoska, up you get! Ruoska swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Ruoska with a poor takedown and Schwartz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Schwartz. This has been an exciting period of action! Schwartz trying to control the position from guard on top but Ruoska is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schwartz pushing down on Ruoska's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Schwartz sitting and controlling from the half guard. Schwartz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ruoska does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Schwartz has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ruoska takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Schwartz working the ground and pound effectively.

Ruoska is squirming around, avoiding Schwartz's attempts to control the action. Schwartz has hold of Ruoska's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ruoska manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Ruoska knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schwartz on the ground. Schwartz looking for a guillotine from mount but Ruoska is having none of it. Ruoska bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schwartz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ruoska has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ruoska stopping the sweep attempt from Schwartz. Ruoska controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ruoska preventing the sweep. Ruoska pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Schwartz is keeping the position for now. Ruoska stops Schwartz from standing up.

Ruoska is fending him off so far but Schwartz persists. Nope, Ruoska circles away and we're back to standing. Ruoska lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Osmond Schwartz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Schwartz is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ruoska's half guard. Ruoska is trying to control but can't.
Schwartz trying to pass the guard but Ruoska defending well. Ruoska moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Schwartz preventing the sweep. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ruoska is on top in guard.
Schwartz being controlled here, momentarily. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruoska won't allow Schwartz to sweep him here. Schwartz pulls Ruoska in close to prevent any damage. Schwartz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Schwartz keeping moving, preventing Ruoska from controlling successfully. Ruoska wanted to stand there but Schwartz had control of the position. Schwartz manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Schwartz misses with a takedown and Ruoska counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Schwartz stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Ruoska jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Schwartz walks away with a smile on his face. Ruoska gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ruoska misses with a takedown and Schwartz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ruoska won't be happy with that. Ruoska is trying to control Schwartz's posture but Schwartz avoids it. Ruoska is looking to regain half guard here but Schwartz keeps moving and retains side control. Schwartz moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruoska is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Schwartz off and has taken his back! Schwartz trying to control the hands but Ruoska breaks the grip. Schwartz is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Schwartz prevents Ruoska from getting a body triangle. Ruoska is trying to stick to Schwartz's back but Schwartz is turning into Ruoska. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Ruoska's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Schwartz. Ruoska wants to get back to his feet but Schwartz is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ruoska thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Schwartz sitting in guard here, content to control. Ruoska bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Schwartz's guard. Ruoska seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ruoska trying to control the position from guard on top but Schwartz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Osmond Schwartz has got the better of the ground game so far. Schwartz preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Schwartz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

And that's the end of the fight! Osmond Schwartz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Schwartz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
