Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Machulda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Bisping (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bisping has chosen New York as his entrance music. Vladimir Machulda could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Michael Bisping's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vladimir Machulda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Bisping!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machulda tries to clinch but Bisping is having none of it.
Vladimir Machulda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machulda wants to clinch up but Bisping keeps it at a distance.
Machulda tries to clinch but Bisping is having none of it.
Machulda moves in looking to clinch but Bisping pushes him off.
Machulda tries for a takedown but Bisping sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bisping avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bisping avoids the head kick by Machulda.

Machulda tries to clinch but Bisping is having none of it.

Machulda dives in and grabs Bisping's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bisping pushes down on Machulda's head and hops out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Machulda has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bisping is proving hard to escape from.

Bisping is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Machulda is aware though and is defending well.

Bisping is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Machulda has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bisping is proving hard to escape from.

Bisping utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Machulda fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bisping.
Machulda misses with a head kick.
Machulda wants to clinch.

Machulda clinches up with Bisping and pushes him back against the ropes.
Bisping takes a knee right on the jaw!

Machulda drags the fight down to the ground.

Bisping drops back looking for a leg! Machulda is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Machulda manages to kick Bisping off! Bisping jumps back into Machulda's guard.

Machulda looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Michael Bisping will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Machulda misses with a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Machulda looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Machulda is looking to clinch.
Bisping shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Machulda but Machulda pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bisping shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Machulda defends it nicely.
Bisping throws the kick towards the body but Machulda avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Machulda is looking to clinch but Bisping is avoiding it.

Machulda stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Machulda wants it to stay on the feet.
Vladimir Machulda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Bisping.
Machulda looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bisping is fending him off so far but Machulda persists. Nope, Bisping circles away and we're back to standing.
Machulda buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bisping closes the distance and clinches up with Machulda, looking for a takedown. Bisping pushes Machulda against the ropes but Machulda circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Machulda tries to clinch but Bisping moves out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Machulda is defended easily by Bisping.

Bisping is breathing heavily.
Machulda is looking to clinch but Bisping is avoiding it.

and Machulda counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bisping won't be happy with that.

Machulda stands up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Machulda is looking to clinch.
Machulda has a takedown stuffed.
Machulda tries to clinch there but Bisping circles away.
Machulda misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Machulda throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bisping was covering up waiting for the punch and Machulda finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Bisping escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Machulda gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Machulda has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Bisping working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Machulda doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Machulda manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Machuldais looking to pass into half guard but Bisping pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bisping is in guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Machulda controls Bisping momentarily but Bisping frees himself.

Machulda has his foot on Bisping's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bisping works his way back into a safe position though.
Bisping stops Machulda from standing up.
Bisping works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Machulda wants to improve his position but Bisping is controlling well.
Machulda looks like he's trying to stand up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bisping misses with a takedown
and Machulda counters with a good, hard body kick but Bisping shrugs it off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vladimir Machulda dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Machulda rushes Bisping and presses him up against the ropes.
Bisping tries for a takedown but Machulda manages to get underhooks.
Machulda lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Machulda tries a knee to the head but Bisping blocks it.
Bisping tries to pull guard but Machulda holds him up against the ropes and eventually Bisping drops back down to his feet.

Machulda breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Machulda tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bisping swats away the attempt to clinch by Machulda.

Machulda throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bisping was covering up waiting for the punch and Machulda finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Machulda is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bisping prevents Machulda from getting back to his feet.

Bisping drops back looking for a leg! Machulda is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Machulda manages to kick Bisping off! Bisping jumps back into Machulda's guard.

Bisping is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bisping takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bisping drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Machulda dives on top into guard.

Machulda seems to be looking for submissions.
Bisping manages to get to full guard.

Bisping is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Machulda is aware though and is defending well.

Machulda tries to free his leg and advance position but Bisping is retaining full guard.
Machulda throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Bisping has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Machulda can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Machulda tries to stand but Bisping is controlling from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bisping isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Machulda stacks Bisping on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Machulda!
Machulda knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bisping on the ground.
Machulda remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Machulda lands a nice forearm strike.

Machulda has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Machulda closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Vladimir Machulda showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Machulda has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
